Bought this for the wife for an anniversary present. I had my eye on the hundred dollar pillow but admittedly some of the smell and damage reviews did turn me away. This was an absolute home run that she loved though. Soft, but firm. Nice and cool. Really provided the stability and steadiness that she was looking for. Highly recommend!

This pillow was great for the first month or so...I’ve had it for almost 2.5 months now and it’s gone completely flat, even with routine fluffing. The zip thing is cool in theory, but kind of useless and I didn’t notice anything special about it being a cooling pillow. I have a Purple 2 mattress as well and love it, but this pillow is a hard pass for me.

Worst Pillow and even worst customer service

This pillow tore and the stuffing got all over my washer. But the worse part is that Purple refused to exchange it. After several emails, the outcome was that they refused to stand by their product. They kept asking me to email pictures over and over again, which I did. So frustrating. If you buy Purple, I hope you like it and that you don't get a defected product, otherwise you will have a hard time returning it.

Amazon was great though and they were helpful even though their policy was to contact the manufacturer directly.
All of headache and frustration over a pillow! Can you imagine if I had bought their mattress like I had been planning on doing?

This is not the purple pillow they show on tv. So be aware. Now with that in mind I did try it out for two nights and it did not keep cool as claimed in the description. So I sent it back. But it wasn’t a bad pillow just not what I was expecting.

So, I tried this one out, because I was all excited about the Purple line. I like a very firm pillow. My wife likes to joke that I just sleep on a 20-lb bag of rice. The Purple Plush offers exactly zero neck support for side and front sleepers. For the two days I could stand using it, I woke up with terrible back pain.

Then I switched to the regular Purple pillow (this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0741QPZR5/ ) and it's been the best sleep I've ever had.
