One of my favorite aspects of this novel was the characters. Every character grows in a different way. Remy is no longer a weaker character. She charges at things full force, no hold's barred, and willing to fight with everything in her. She recognizes that she can't let her past define her. Instead, she has to use her past to help her push forward and become a stronger force. Asher changes greatly in this novel too due to events that happen over the course of the book, and his relationship with Remy is challenged in every way possible. I loved their relationship, and by the end, you know that no matter what happens, love will always find a way. However, one of the standout characters in this novel was Gabe. While the arrogant jerk is still present, we get to see a whole different side of him. We get to know him much better in this novel, and now I really really love him! He's hilarious and is there for Remy when times get extremely rough. Ms. Jackson introduces several new characters, specifically more Healers. Remy's grandfather comes into the picture, and without giving away any spoilers, I knew something was fishy with the entire situation.
The story overall was wonderful and a nice, long roller coaster ride. Full of ups and downs, twists and turns, you never know where the story was going next. There were so many surprises you were getting whiplash! I literally couldn't put this book down it was so good, and Ms. Jackson gets her hooks in you from the very first chapter. And Ms. Jackson certainly knows how to throw a wrench into a situation. When something tragic happens, I started panicking. I kept thinking, there's no way she would do this, it just can't be! As the story progressed, I just felt so bad for Remy. This poor girl just goes through so much, and the reader is right there along with her. I will spoil this...by the end, there's a bit of a love triangle. Hopefully, this is completely resolved in the next book, because I hate love triangles.
While some second books suffer what I term SBS (Second Book Syndrome), Pushed definitely isn't one of them. This book has it all; romance, action, adventure, and humor. The writing is flawless, with everything extremely well described, I felt like I was right there next to the characters. I can't wait to see what Ms. Jackson has in store for her characters next! Happy reading :)
I love this series!
I am disappointed to say I was kinda happy Asher died, at least for awhile. Gabe and Remy together was a breath of fresh air, and I really liked them together. What a shame.

Kurz: das Jugendbuch ist auch für ältere Leser mit Hang zu surrealem bzw. SciFi sehr gut zu lesen.
