What to say about this book.....HOT! INTENSE! STEAMY! It's full of action, drama, and suspense!!
You have Angie and Bowe.
Angie is a 23 year old single mother who has a rough past and some major family drama. She is a very strong and independent woman but she is also very guarded and protective of her heart.
Bowe is a 32 year old fire-fighter/paramedic who works for Kilgore Fire (tied to the past 4 books.) He is a hardworking man but is unlucky in the love department.
Bowe is kind of thrown into Angie's life after he is attacked one day . (I don't want to spoil who attacks him.) They had met before but nothing ever came from their past interactions. As time goes on, you begin to see the chemistry they have with each other but you can also feel the sexual tension. Angie is trying to keep Bowe at bay but he is determined to break her walls down.
"I'm not going to force myself on you. I can tell you're not ready. But when you're done with school...when this s*** with your ex is behind you...I'm coming for you, and there's not one thing in this entire world that can stop me. Not even you"
Bowe wants to show her how she should be loved and treated. How her daughter should be loved and treated. (The story behind her daughter is CRAZY!!! ) As Angie and Bowe start to get closer, people from her past keep showing back up. ( And these are not good people.)
Will her past ruin her future?
Will her past ruin Bowe's future?
Put Out was so good. I was sucked into the story and read the entire book in one day. I loved the chemistry between Angie and Bowe but I also loved how hard headed and independent each character was. They brought so much to the storyline.
I love Lani Lynn Vale. I have read almost all of her books and she never lets me down. I love the passion you can see in her writing and how she can take a typical topic and turn it into something spectacular. Her books always leave me wanting more and she always delivers. I loved how all her books are connected somehow. How she can keep up with all the different people and their jobs and relationships is beyond me but it is amazing. One of my favorite things about Lani Lynn Vale, is that at the beginning of each chapter in all her books is a funny quote, or saying, or thought. Such as "In alcohol's defense, I've done some dumb s*** completely sober, too." These add-ons to each chapter are awesome.
If you haven't read any of her books, you are missing out!
Angie is a strong determined and fierce woman in her own right. She has gone through so much hardship in her life that she deserves to finally get her happily ever after. I felt for her yet rooted for her all the way. She loves hard and she protects what's hers with a vengeance.
The story flowed effortlessly and the banter between Bowe and Angie had me in stitches. Their story was so real and so heartbreaking and yet so uplifting at the same time. I totally recommend this book and the whole series. I would start at the beginning of the series even though this book could read as a standalone if you wanted. Just makes things more clear if you know all the players though.
I'm not going to lie, I was a little timid to grab this book - so much so that I broke tradition. I usually wait until Sunday mornings to read a new Lani book but said the heck with it and jumped right in. Why was I timid? Well I hate to admit it, but as much as I love LLV I hadn't loved the last couple of books because IMO there was just something that was missing compared to her earlier works.
This was certainly not the case with this story. The romance was front and center. We got to see the couple fall in love, have some struggles but come out better on the other side....with a little bit of suspense thrown in.
Angie has not had the best run of luck. A douche bag of a dad led to a douche bag of an ex. Then she meets Bowe. Sigh, Bowe was the perfect book boyfriend. His actions spoke so much louder than words. He willingly took on Angie's struggles and tried to make things better for her. Believe it or not, our hero was not lucky with the ladies when it came to relationships - so he really wanted to make it work with Angie, whom he'd been eyeing for awhile. Angie has a hard time letting people in and when you read her history you'll be able to understand why. Can these two make it work or will an Ex, disapproving parents and a natural disaster be too much for the couple to overcome? Guess you need to read it to find out.

5 amazing stars
Lani Lynn Vale is amazing. Let me explain further before it sounds like I’m girlfaning more than anything else. She has this uncanny ability of creating characters that you can relate to and stories that will tug at your heartstrings. This is the second novel that I’ve read by her and I wish I had read the rest of the series to see just what I was missing or even if I was missing anything. Not to say that Put Out can’t be read as a stand alone, because it can, I managed to follow this newest installment to the series.
4.5 sexy dreams
Individually, Angie and Bower are strong. They’ve been through so much that you wish you could have protected them from it all but it made them who they are today. Together though, they were mesmerizing and delicious, making me wonder just how far Bower will go to get Angie and keep her.
