I would have liked to see her talk more about how we need to rely on the Holy Spirit's help to put God first in our lives. Putting Him first isn't something that we can naturally do on our own. The Lord has commanded that we put Him first, and He has also provided the Spirit to help us obey. I also know that the author holds to some of the teachings of the Catholic Church, teachings with which I am not personally comfortable adhering to. While this does not show up much in her book, there is a mention or two of using the Rosary.
Those two caveats aside, I think that this book can be very helpful for someone who needs to reevaluate her routines in order to give the Lord priority in her life. Whether you are a new believer looking to honor God for the first time or are a long-time Christian who needs to better focus on Christ, this book might be just what you need.
It's worth noting that this book would make a great read for all Christians, regardless of denomination. Although I don't think that she and I would see 100% eye to eye on secondary doctrine (there were a couple of minor statements that I don't agree with) the author does a great job of emphasizing the "matters of first importance".
This little book has me thinking and changing my behaviors. That effect is reason enough to recommend it to others.
I will recommend this to my family and friends.
Thank you, and God Bless you and your family.
