This book is very different than the other SLP start a practice books I've read.
Content appears well-researched and applies advice / relevant quotes throughout from the business gurus. Both technical and philosophical. This was big for me because it speaks to the expertise of the authors.
It applies to various ages (including adult clients!!!), with examples. I didn't feel it was aimed only at certain populations.
Easy to read, the conversational style flowed and was easy to read and absorb.
I appreciate that there are 3 authors who all have different private practices - this helped present different viewpoints.
The example forms at the end are useful templates that you can tweak to fit your practice.
It walks you through the steps that you need, things to remember/consider. You can skip or tweak steps you've already done, but there's plenty of information for anyone, regardless of where they are in developing their practice.
There is plenty of value in the book, an enjoyable read (if professional books can be considered enjoyable!)
Excellent resource for those looking to start their own therapy practice but do not know where to start..
One of the best thing about it is that you can have almost direct contact with the authors through their social media!!!!
So if you have additional questions about certain topic, you can always reach them to get some extra insight...
