I brought this bec it said for 2y. 2-5 to be exact. I have a 2y and noooo way would she be able to do this puzzle. It’s very small. It’s definitely in the 4-5 age range. More 5 honestly. It’s small and a lot of pieces per puzzle. They are thick and well made tho

My 4 years kid loved this. Total 5 puzzles and all are animals. My kid enjoyed couple of times in playing with these.
Pros:
All the pieces can be easily taken out and assemble again easily.
Colors are so bright which attracts kids.
Not too complex in assembling for kids age between 4 - 6 years.
Packing was good. None were broken.
Worth to buy for younger kids.
Price is also reasonable.

Cons:
Not giving 5⭐ because the thickness of each puzzle piece is not that think.
The edge of each single piece will break easily.
The borders of the puzzle board also breaks easily along with the image sheet if not handled properly.
3 year old kids can't handle. They easily break the pieces.

Great set of cute puzzles for the price

I bought this set of puzzles for my 2.25 mo old after combing through Amazon's many options. For the price of $10, getting a set of 6 is a very good deal to me. The puzzles are a good size (slightly smaller than expected, but they did list the dimensions - I just forget how small inches are sometimes; and it'd be great for travel if I want); the pictures are bright and cute (I like the small added bonus of having the name of the animal on the picture, too!); the board is a good thickness, and the pieces - while they may seem a bit on the 'thinner' side, are still decent/within expectation. I think my kid will come to enjoy/play with them independently once we do a few more together for her to get the concepts.
One thing to note: I recommend taking apart the puzzle pieces first without the child present as there were a few wood 'splinters' when I first separated the pieces. I cut them off and rubbed any rough edges with the blade of the scissor to smooth them out. As the wood is soft, it wasn't too hard. I did contact the seller about my concern of these splinters since I wouldn't want my kid getting hurt. They acknowledged and addressed my concern, so I hope the ones I received were an anomaly. I also played with the puzzles a few times to help loosen the pieces a bit as they were initially pretty tight; they're now pretty easy to take apart/put into the frame.

Overall, I'm happy with these and hope to make good use of them with the stay-at-home life. :P

UPDATE: After a month of playing with them every now and then, my 2.3 year old is now able to independently complete the puzzles (especially the hippo, panda, and elephant), so these are great for a 2+ year old after a small learning curve!

Wood or cardboard and wood?

These puzzles are described as a wooden puzzle set but it looks like only the backing is wooden. The pieces look like cardboard though it is hard to tell until the packages are opened by the 3 year old who is getting them as a present. I can't answer the three questions below until the pack is opened and puzzles tried out by a 3 year old and a 5 year old.

These are good except the frame has the picture of the puzzle so that the child just has to match up the pieces with the background picture. However, to make it a bit more challenging you can have your child assemble the puzzle outside of the frame. Cute picture and good price for the number of puzzles.

Cute but I'm worried about splinters

The pressed/thin wood used to make these sheds little pieces and flakes off. Im still worried my daughter and I are going to get splinters from playing with these. They're super cute, come with a picture which helps my toddler visualize where each piece goes which I really like. Im hoping that the more we play with them the less they shed.

These puzzles are adorable and almost perfect for a 2-4 year old. My daughter has played with them only a few times since Christmas and tonight all these little wood pieces fell off the back. Such a bummer because if she didn’t love them so much, I would return these for a different puzzle set. I probably wouldn’t gift these now knowing that the backs are breaking off. 👎🏼

I liked the thickness of these puzzles and the pictures and colors were great. However, when I opened the package and started taking the pieces apart, the interlocking parts started to come apart. I even tried doing it gently thinking I was maybe too rough with the first set, but they still fell apart. Disappointing as my almost 3 year old child was very excited about these puzzles. I ended up returning them as I didn’t want messy puzzles or leave choking hazards around for my younger child.
