Make sure the seeds are large and as smooth as possible. Keep seeds warm and moist. Don' let seeds dry out....although they are quite hardy
Wait a few months. be patient..,. (most important) If still have difficulty....have seller contact me. I will make sure to seed are viable. Next to Mexican Fan palms.......Pygmy Dates are the easiest. Paul

I like the Pygmy Date Palm Tree. However, I wasted my money buying these seeds from this company. I tried to germinate 6 seeds in a wet paper towel inside of a zip lock bag starting from January 21, 2016 - March 21, 2016 - 2 whole months - and placed the bags on top of my stove where it is warm and nothing, zip, nada.... no roots have appeared, and 1 seed rotted with mold on it. I have seen videos on YouTube.com other people using this method with success in just a couple of days. So I will wait a another month.

I also planted 2 date palms seeds in soil indoors, and I see absolutely nothing as of to date, March 21st. Maybe the seeds are not any good. So, I watched another video where a man on YouTube.com soaked his date seeds 24 hours in water, to hydrate the seed and then he planted in soil. So I will gave it another try with 4 other seeds, soaked for 24 hours then I will plant to see if I get any results. So far its a disappointment. I have been able to grow flower seeds, but these seeds aren't giving me any results yet. I will keep trying to germinate the rest of the seeds that I have, and hope for the best. I will probably end up buying a starter pygmy date palm tree, if these seeds don't produce. So try these seeds from this company at your own risk.

Planted 30 seeds in potting mix of 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 coco pith, and 1/3 polite. Watered weekly, covered with plastic bag. Now almost 3 months and only one germinated.

Not even one of them sprouted even after many months. I took care of them just like the directions said.
