Good replacements for Mazda OEM paper 6 x 8 speakers.
on August 18, 2016
They are good budget speakers to replace OEM Mazda CX-7 Speakers.
The OEM speakers in many Mazda's are paper , cloth surrounds, plastic basket, cheap wiring, and the magnet is the size of a quarter and they sounded like cardboard drivers with no definition (see picture).
The Pyle 6 x 8's are brighter and much more defined clarity is there for rock music and full range modern\dance\electronic genres track mixes that stretch into the 18K Hz range..
I am glad I took the time to replace them once I saw how poorly made the OEM speakers were. I don't think that I would buy them again though.
I cut off the factory plugs and soldered onto the terminals for a long term solid connection.
I will go with a pair of Pioneer 2-way 6 x 8's for the rear, The Pyles are pretty good, but for just $5 more a pair over the life of the car, (12 years?) the Pioneers 6 x 8's are worth that investment.
