Top customer reviews
The watch is right around 2'' in diameter and is quite light compared to other watches in this range I have had. This doesn't bode well for the watch as it doesn't feel all that sturdy. I have had several other watches in this range, of this type (alt, baro, comp), and they felt much sturdier and still broke. I am pretty rough on watches. It is fairly easy to navigate around the menu and determine how to use the various functions without the instruction manual. The weather indicator has yet to change since I got the watch despite the fact it was a downpour earlier today.
The clasp is solid and the band seems adequate. I wasn't paying attention to water resistance when I purchased the watch because I figured a watch billed as sport would be resistant to at least 50 feet or so. I can find no indication of depth and the case says "Water Resistant" but doesn't mention depth or pressure. I haven't even taken this thing in the shower for fear it will leak. I guess on my next fishing expedition it will get thoroughly tested. I purchased the watch for around $35 and at that price it might be worth it. I would definitely go with something else if the retailer wants the MSRP of $110+, but for $30-$40 it might be worth it.
However the watch face is hard to read in low light. Even the back lighting is dim. On the upside, it is very easy to read and operate in bright sun.
Overall a great value for the money.
Seems that the altimeter needs to be cycled out to the main time menu then back to the altimeter to get a up to date reading-- this didn't show up until I started to gain or lose much elevation quickly.
Over all I'm happy with it as an additional source of information when navigating but I'll look at its data as a general reference to location. I'll still bring other navigation tools.
