I received this product only to be immediately disappointed with its performance and the "customer service" behind it. This turntable should probably be $20-$30 less than it's already priced. The platter wobble is so intense that the needle is constantly skipping. Adjusting the screw at the top right does NOTHING. Nothing at all. No matter how much I adjust this screw, the problem continues. Nothing changes in the slightest bit. I can't listen to a record all the way through without the needle skipping randomly because of the intensity of the wobble. I tried taking apart the turntable and tightening all the screws inside and still no fix. The platter is a very cheap cheap plastic. Like Toys R Us product plastic. I emailed the company asking for advice and how to go about fixing this problem. I stated that I tried adjusting the screw to help fix the problem and that it didn't work one bit. The email back was pathetic. The grammar was awful and the email made no sense with no proper instructions.

    ME:

    HI,

I just received my PVNTT1 Classic Retro USB Phonograph/Turntable today and I am having the problem of the platter being too wobbly. It causes the records the needle to miss the record at certain points and skip. I tried adjusting the screw from tight to loose and had no success. I'm a little worried about taking it apart and not sure how to take off the Iron binder that keeps the platter attached. How can I fix this problem? The turntable is Brand new.

I ordered this turntable because I wanted an authentic looking device on which to play records. When I bought it, it worked for a few days and then quit working. However, I contacted amazon and I received a new turntable within a week (and I didn't have to pay shipping on it or pay shipping to return the broken one). It has been working constantly for the last three months and sound great! Also, it has the option to convert records to mp3 files. If you are hoping to convert the records in this way, make sure you have a computer that can play mini-cd's because the software for converting the records is on a mini-cd.

for some reason this player does a great job of playing older records of like 160 gram vinyl. Does a real bad job on stuff like newer albums such as PInk Floyd. I'm a little disappointed. so
'some" things it handles really well and sounds great and others, its a flop.

On the face this looks like a great product, plays all record types, has USB capability, antique finish, functional and fashionable. I excitedly awaited the arrival of my purchase but sadly this has been one of the more disappointing purchases I've ever made. I would have felt ripped off buying this for 20$, let alone spending what I actually did spend. The thing is made of the cheapest materials, some fashion of paper/sawdust composite for the "wood looking" areas, cheap flimsy plastic everywhere else. The turntable wobbles to the point it actually skips. The arm I could see being easy broken as it is plastic and some thin metal and the cradle to hold it broke the first time I ever used it. The USB capability is purely for marketing, the enclosed CD is nothing more than a free copy of Audacity Software readily available on the internet, no drivers or anything, and you could accomplish the same thing merely plunging a headphone jack into your PC. The turntable is my largest disappointment with this, it is thin plastic with 3 rubber feet which the record sits upon. The so called "adjustment screw" for the wobble does nothing and records skip quite often. Overall I am 99% dissatisfied with my purchase and it isn't that often I find myself so completely dissatisfied with a product that I'll take the time to write a negative review. I have no qualms with Amazon or the company I purchased this from, its just a case of a cheaply manufactured product and I assure you I will never buy a Pyle product again. In fact I would suggest the company change their name from Pyle to Pile because that is exactly what it is.

This was the first record player I ever bought. So the only reason I kept it as long as I did was because I didn't know any better. I eventually learned that not EVERY record you buy should skip. When I checked out the actual mechanics of the record player, I began to realize that the product was simply not of a good quality. It's not that the record player came defective or broke, it is simply an issue of initial quality. It will play some records fine but not most. Save your money for a higher quality item.

It skipped a little when i first got it, but i messed with the adjustment knob and it works fine now. The needle is a bit sensible so make sure to thoroughly clean your records. The look is excellent, it really looks like an elegant vintage record player. Great overall quality for the affordable price.

First bought the Pyle Home PVNTT5UT Retro Style Vinyl Turntable with USB-To-PC and did not like all the plastic. Plus other than looking cheap it also had severe wobble. Thought this would be an improvement both in looks and performance but it was even worse. Still a plastic table and the whoel thing was dislodged and loose in the wood! Not to mention the wobble was just as bad. Returned for the Audio Technica AT-LP60USB and 100 times happier
