This pedal seemed to have all the same specs as compared to a boss bass eq pedal, but for about 1/8 of the price. So I got it as a gift, and when I took it out of the package, I realized why, it was made out of light-weight plastic. Still optimistic, I plugged it in despite its cheap looking outer case, and quickly noticed the extra hiss-type noise that came from having only that pedal in my chain. When I began to use the equalizer bands, I noticed that each band knob feels EXTREMELY flimsy and breakable, having been made from very thin plastic. I listened for the changes each frequency band made, and noticed that 2 out the 7 bands were not working at all. There was a weak connection on the two non-working frequency bands only if you wiggled the band to the side, but it did not fix the issue. I concluded that it this was simply a poorly made pedal, and the old sang came up in my head, "you get what you pay for." Warning to the wise, stay clear of this pedal. Save up your money and buy something sturdy and reliable.

Even at $20, I can't recommend this. I am normally super excited to sacrifice quality for a good deal. In this case I cannot. While our purchase didn't seem to suffer from hiss or any abnormal functionality, the build quality and materials are so poor, that this cannot be relied upon for extensive live gigging. As mentioned before, the sliders and housing are extremely cheap.

All of our sliders did/do work as of the time of this writing. One of the major annoyances when compared to my BOSS pedal is that there is no "zero" notch. There's no way to really make sure that once a slider was accidentally nudged that it goes back to zero if you don't want it to boost your signal. I really wouldn't buy this again.

Go for the Joyo or Biyang EQ pedals instead. They're only a little more and much better crafted.

I know you get what you pay for, but seriously... I don't think I even got that! This thing is a child't toy at best. Sounds terrible, feels like it will shatter on first drop.
