Dr. Peter Lacovera received his Ph.D. in Egyptian Archeology from the University of Chicago and is currently Curator of Ancient Art at the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Before that he was Assistant Curator in the Department of Ancient Egyptian, Nubian and Near Eastern Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Peter Lacovara; Ph.D. is Director of The Ancient Egyptian Archaeology and Heritage Fund. He has excavated at numerous sites in Egypt, including at Giza and the Valley of the Kings. His publications and research include studies on Daily Life and Urbanism in Ancient Egypt, Egyptian Mortuary Traditions, and the Material Culture of Ancient Egypt and Nubia.
