Exploded without warning

I've loved my Pyrex baking dishes for years but will not be using them again after this experience. I purchased these baking dishes two months ago and the 9x13 one exploded with no warning while baking at 350 degrees. After some Googling, it seems that this is an increasingly common problem with Pyrex as they have shifted to lower quality materials, and there is even a class action lawsuit ongoing. Do not buy these dishes if you value your safety or your ability to actually eat the items that you are baking.

Shattered Glass EVERYWHERE!

I bought this set back on 7/12/16 and it has been fine until last night. I used the 3 quart oblong glassware for my stuffed peppers and the dish exploded in the oven. It was in there less an 10 mins and at 375 degrees. It was at room temperature before I put the dish into the oven. I'm upset. This is what my oven looked like after I removed the stuffed peppers. I've sent a note to pyrex and waiting to hear a response. Apparently this is a known issue for the company.

This item was bought as a Christmas gift for my sister in law. She used the large dish tonight to bake fish. When done baking, she took the dish out and placed it on top of the oven and it immediately shattered.

The lids will not fit, they have no shattered. BUT the lids will not fit, and that was the huge selling point for me! I would not buy it. I wish I could return! Id to use foil if it CAME WITH LIDS. ••updated 9-4-19•• baked at 450 for 45 mins and didn’t shatter. Oven was preheated. Lids still don’t fit right. But make sure oven is preheated like it says on box and bakeware! ••
