Top Customer Reviews
This is the size I prefer 11 cups. Stores a large amount of leftovers or precut veggies. Makes a decent sized casserole.
The cover fits like a glove. Never had a leak. I own about 15 Pyrex dishes now all similar to this one and ill definitely purchase more.
Ive read about exploding Pyrex and while that's always on the back of my mind, im veey careful to slowly change the temperature of the glass. If ut was in the fridge, it sits room temp for awhile before going into a non preheated over and heating with the oven. I keep baking temps at 350-375 and ive never had an incident.
Covers are interchangeable with same sized pyrex.
Purchased at full list price.
I recommend the Pyrex 11 Cup dish container, especially at around $8-9.
I have used this for baking and storing, and it performs exactly like the old Pyrex that we all grew up learning to love!
I ordered addition cup sizes. They make excellent storage containers and oven compatible.
The only disadvantages of this line are that they are usually more expensive than similar products, and that the selection of sizes and shapes is not as great as, say, Frigoverre.
Some of the many advantages-
Glass is the safest material for food contact
It is totally transparent and colorless. We haven't seen any staining of these containers over the years, unlike Frigoverre containers.
Pyrex glass is tempered, so you can use it in the oven. In fact, we sometimes bake a cake in these containers, let it cool, close the cover and it's done.
European or American made- better confidence in material content than Chinese products.
Although the lid is not totally airtight, it fits quite snugly and is very easy to clean since they are designed with no crevices.
It is worth mentioning that the American ones have deep blue or bright red lids, unlike the European ones that have light blue or whitish semi-transparent lids that we find much more conservative and thus appealing.
