Half the order isn't branded by Pyrex, missing lid, lids that don't fit, not design shown in photo

Very unsatisfied - half the bowls are what is to be expected: correct bowls, Pyrex brand, lids fit. The other half of the order was all wrong - the large bowl (red top) has a ripple design and is a different shape, but is at least Pyrex brand and has a lid that fits. The remaining 3 bowls have a lipped edge so the lids don't fit. The 3 bowls are also NOT stamped with Pyrex in the glass. Oh, and I am missing a lid (light green size). Fake products? Not happy.

Thick and sturdy

This is a nice heavy thick bowl with a handy lid. It's big enough to hold a man size portion of your favorite sugary kids cereal as you sit in the living room in your underwear, unshaven in weeks, smelly, unemployed, fat, all while watching spongebob (the first 3 seasons only though, after that we all know it got lame).

Now before you say that is a weird review, let me remind you, this is generally how we ALL KNOW this product will really get used by men. This review was not unprofessional... It was honest. And for said situation... why yes, I can confirm it works well, and spongebob is hilarious.

Pyrex has betrayed us

Old PYREX was amazing. New pyrex is awful. It's now made of Soda Lime glass instead of Borosilicate and it doesn't do well with temperature changes. It shatters all the time into a million pieces and gives you a million tiny cuts. 0 stars if possible.

I even ran over one in my car, and though it has a few scratches, no breaks or cracks! My husband does not like plastic, so I have ended up replacing a lot of storage containers with glass. We use this particular size a lot, so I ordered more. The lids are, of course, the weak point, but we have extras for when they tear--which does not happen often, but it does occur. The lids normally fit very tightly. Being glass, they are easy to clean, and of course, durable! Hubby likes the opacity, being able to easily see what is inside. The price was absolutely great, less than I expected based on my local brick and mortar store. They were shipped quickly, packaged very well, and arrived safely. I cannot recommend them too highly--just get a few extra lids!

It took two attempts

I didn't need to open the box to know there was broken glass inside in my first order.

Amazon made it so easy to return this order at Kohl's drop off.

I did immediately request a replacement. The second order arrived quickly and there was no damage to this set.

I have bought three similar pyrex sets from Amazon over the years. Never did they arrive broken. All are in great shape and used daily. I'm buying more to reduce my us of zip lock bags.

I did check the new set against my previous sets and these were an exact match.
All pieces state made in the USA.
I did a weight comparison of the bowls and lids, the new set is no different from what I can measure in my other sets.
All lids worked between the different sets.

I have no doubt this set is authentic and I expect these to perform just as well as my other sets.

Never going back to plastic containers

These are my first glass containers and I am never going back to plastic. They are just so nice. They are shaped great, feel very sturdy, and they look great. I absolutely love that glass doesn't pick up odors like plastic does. I probably don't have to tell you how nasty those plastic containers can get.
I feel safer storing food in these, for some reason. I like to freeze bananas a lot to make nicecream, and in the past I've had containers crack when I tried to take them out. These are so solid and durable that not only can I freeze bananas in them, I can also go at them with the hand blender when they are still in the glass container. Now that's convenience.
I think the sizes are just perfect. One is pretty small, exactly the right size to make chia seed pudding in. The middle one holds about as much as a large cereal bowl, I would say, and the largest one is a great size for leftovers. It holds a lot.
I'm good with just the three glass storage bowls that this set comes with, but as soon as I expand my cooking and I need more, I am definitely getting more of them.

So I have purchased two sets of these because I had purchased others years ago, like over 15 to 20 years ago that I still used regularly for storing leftovers in the fridge to throw in the microwave back and forth a few times, never ever has one broke or cracked.
I decided to purchase more to get rid of the old stained Rubbermaid storage containers I’ve been using for years also that just get stained and pitted after each use. With these after every use just wipe clean with no problem.
As for the people who have complained theirs have broken, I’m more than likely to guess it was cause of their use or abuse of the products.
I grew up with my mother using everything Pyrex and to this day over 50 years those are still being used daily.
So for my, Pyrex is really my own go to for food storage and reheating, may be expensive but they will last forever!

I actually got these bowls because I wanted to make a layered jello salad. I didn't have any clear containers. The glass of these bowls in very thick like the Pyrex measuring cups. Someone said that the covers were hard to get on. All you have to do is center the lid on the bowl, push down in the middle and it pops right on. Nice tight seal. Glad to have nice glass bowls to replace plastic ones. AND they are made in the USA!

It's three containers. They are counting the lids as a piece. Not a great way to advertise your product.

Also, these are NOT borosilicate glass, and are extremely sensitive to rapid temperature changes. "pyrex" is USA and lime glass. "PYREX" is French and borosilicate. Get PYREX if you can.

These are good for storage and strong and durable. But there is something different about them from their sisters that I have, identical except these the glass has a blue hue to it around the top rims while my older ones do not. To me they may be made with different ingredients which might explain why when I wash them these three new ones smell foul after air drying.Maybe the composition of these adheres odours.

To include the lids when you call this a "6 piece set" is extremely disingenuous, bordering on false advertising. It would be very nice to see the listing changed to "3 piece set". To clarify for everyone else, it's three containers (S,M, and L), and three matching lids.

Otherwise, it's Pyrex. Not much to say, it's a quality product. The only complaint is that the lids aren't entirely microwave proof and get little heat marks over time; they've also got some pretty sharp molding, which makes it pretty difficult to clean the sharp corners.

It would get 5 stars, but I feel like the vendor is trying to pull a fast one on customers who don't read the entire description of the product.
