Just installed this unit in a 2002 mustang GT. easy to install. directions are pretty clear but what they dont tell you is the 4 pin satellite harness is for accessories only. if you are just hooking this up to use as a remote start only (no door locks, horn honk, defogger ect) the only wire you need on this harness is the BLUE status wire for a bypass unit. The remotes are the perfect size and i like that it makes sounds. Works great, take your time installing it and check all your wires and make sure you READ THE WHOLE MANUAL. it will save you time and the feeling of stupidity when the system doesnt work and you go back and read the maual only to find out youre pushing the button the remote too long....( that would have saved me some time lol)

Update: 1/27/2012 Just installed one of these in my uncles 2008 F250. Easy to use especially since i have already installed one just recently. no complaints yet! Called ABC warehouse (remote starter installer) They were going to charge $310 for the unit and installation and an extra $45 to hook the two door lock/unlock wires up. THATS NUTS! i installed it myself and it only cost my uncle $150.

This is perfect for what it does. It has long range, about a 2-3 minute walk to my car. So far thats the minimum range since i havent parked outside a 3 minute walk. Good for warming your car up, heating the interior on cold days and cooling on hot days.

If there are any complaints about installs, it's because the reviewer doesn't have the proper skills to install it. There's a lot of wires but I only used about 13 out of the 20-30 wires. There are wires you need and some you don't. Some wires are not needed based on preference. There is a manual included that shows all the connections and what each wire is supposed to do. It's a great product and I recommend it.

I like everything about this python. I installed myself ona my honda passport with no problems. I also did it on my celica. It work from long range. Even from inside of The Mall Of America. It has a lot of feautures plus a lot of ad-ons. I love the remote control that you can custom change background light and its also rechargeable battery. If you are installing this python yourself make sure you get the "bitwriter" also so you can custom program. There are somethings that you cant change without bitwriter, like manual to automatic transmission, remote start runtime 1 min thru 60min door locks, and a lot more.

After 3 weekends and countless hours of trying to install on my 2010 Camry, I will have to take it to a professional. I am a degreed mechanical engineer and have installed countless aftermarket products on several different cars.

I can not recommend this product to anyone that wants to install it themself. Directed Electronics will not help a DIY customer.

The Python 4203P is a great basic two-way system that has great range and excellent reliability. The remote itself is compact and not a bulky device to lug around. Installation requires a bypass module that can run up the cost but it remains a good value overall. Absolutely no problems in the first months of use and I dont anticipate any over the coming years.

Long range, about 1/2mile. Two way feedback is great so you know your car is started. Simple one button operation eliminates all the garbage I didn't want on other starters. Start car, unlock door.
