Wasting It

It plays cassettes decently. Some hissing, of course, but it’s honestly that kind of tape warble I was expecting, and that I love to hear with some tapes. That was kind of the point of getting back into tapes.
As far as recording onto a tape from a computer, I found the hiss too loud. I’m happy there’s a radio function, but there’s no indicator as to what station you’re on, so trying to find the right station can take a while.
Still, I love this little thing.

Blast From The Past!!

This recorder and player is truly a blast from the past. However, it has a modern twist to the art of mix tape making. It allows you to plug in your phone or Bluetooth which simplifies the recording process. Not only that, it works great and is easy to use. It’s the exact size and weight as the old tape players. I love it!!

Record functions are HORRIBLE!

I purchased this to use with some other music production equipment and wanted to record some sounds from phone to tape loop cassettes and add a lo-fi background sound. I've tried via the line in connection, through Bluetooth and via the built in microphone. Every try results in a horrible hissing white noise sound and the recorded audio is drowned out by this noise. I've tried multiple Cassettes and every one has the same result. I've also tried from pc and tablet and also tried recording from a mixer and directly from instruments. It's all garbage. If you're looking to record anything on this "recorder" it will not work. Also, when ejecting my first cassette, the door shattered. The buttons are super flimsy and probably won't last long. It's pretty much unusable for what I was wanting to do. If you have a pre-recorded cassette it might sound fine but if you're looking to do ANY recording on your own avoid this unit at all costs. It's a shame that Amazon allows such horrible products to be sold on its site.

Super portable the performance was great it was really loud but a little flat I think it's a great value for your money it seems pretty durable as long as you're not dropping it from higher than knee height its size is pretty good as well!

My Mom Has LOVED THIS!

I got it for my Mom as she wanted to listen to a variety of Gospel lectures & sermons she had on audio cassette. It has been a joy to her during the months of this Pandemic, especially after she was diagnosed with Cancer last year. She is not quite sure of herself with modern technology and didn't want to use a digital option, preferring to stick with analog audio cassette tapes instead. A true 'BOOMER' she was born in 1946 and remains quite old fashioned.

Has a built in mic that works as sufficiently as you would expect . However the line in is noisy. The record button as mentioned sticks. And feels like it might break. Not worth the money for recording anything besides MAybe a Convo. It has bluetooth but what doesn't nowadays . I know it looks cool.aesthetic is 10. But it doesn't perform that well with built in mics and the buttons just jam up and don't plop down. No clean dual play record button press. It just doesn't feel right

I originally ordered my first one in September of 2023, but I'll now be ordering a second one. I bought this recorder to play cassettes I got off of bandcamp, but have slowly been drifting towards producing my own as a DIY music label. I was initially very wary of recording anything on the QFX-39. But I recently tried it out and highly recommend it. You want to get a chord that runs from it to your computer, then hook the QFX-39 up to a pair of headphones. After that you turn the volume all the way up so it's blasting through the headphones (but obviously don't put the headphones on, just leave them next to the recorder) and start to record.

The lower the sound volume on the tape recorder itself, the lower the quality of your final product. The portability of the recorder is also deeply appreciated because now I can make tapes almost anywhere without a big bulky recorder you have to buy second hand that's from the 80s and might not even work. Is the sound quality perfect? No, but it packs a punch that I think makes it worth buying to play around with on a budget.

Ao gravar mais instrumentos tocando, o som fica completamente distoricdo na gravação, portanto, não atende ao fim que se destina de gravação de instrumentos musicais. Fuciona somente em conversas faladas em volume bem baixo. Produto não se conforta com eficiência conforme propraganda.
