Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
I received the scale mid June of 2021 and was initially very happy. I took the other one or two star reviews as "ancient history" given that they were a few years ago and figured, hey if there's a real problem with the product, I'll return it. The app setup was great, I felt like the graphs and layout of the app (Android) are nice, easy to work with (except how hitting back all the way takes you to the product selection every time). Keep in mind, the app is not an optional part of the experience if you want to get the more advanced data out of the scale. BMI/fat/muscle/water percentages are only fully displayed through the app. That's a miss from a usability standpoint. Advanced measurements should display all on the scale face when you're done so you don't have to grab your phone.
From there a few weeks later, problems started popping up. I would weigh myself and the weigh-ins would appear in the wrong area of the app. Basically there's a history tab, within there is a list that you can "Claim" measurements as your own if the scale isn't sure of who you are. It can get confused if you have multiple people weighing similar amounts like twins. The problem is you can't actually Claim (in Android, no clue about iOS) an entry as yours. You can only delete it. The full data for the weigh is not visible from Claim history. The support forum suggested you do a reset from the app. Ok done. Then it would only show the first weigh after the reset and then show the rest in Claim history. I contacted support via internal message from the app, and did get a response after 2 days. I had to reinstall the app. History was preserved. It was back to showing history items back in the right tab, but now every weigh was showing in the Claim history. Annoying but not major.
Now it's time to add other family members. I used the invite system from the app. Installed it on their phone, and went through the setup. Now it's showing my weigh ins on their app, and my phone isn't showing anything. Ok, let's try another reset and reinstall of the app. Now I can't even reset the scale itself. Another major error is you can't do a hard/factory reset from the scale itself. You have to use an app. But I can't do it with either phone. The product feels like a beta version. I'm still waiting from support regarding this issue. For now anyone else considering the scale, hold off.
Update: for those of you curious about how it's able to determine what your body fat/muscle/bone/water % is, it uses bioimpedance. The short of it is your electrolytic balance as well as how hydrated you are will increase or decrease accurace, for those of us who are of normal weight. For the athletic individuals (not there yet) bioimpedance is not an accurate way to measure body composition. If the scale is mildly dirty, such as with dog hair or other dust, the accuracy of your % measurements will be less accurate. If your feet are dry, it will also affect how accurate the reading is. You can kind of get around this by using the scale after you've taken a shower and died off mostly, but then your water % reading will be off. Try to use it at the same time(s) of the day and you won't be as frustrated.
However, the Qardio 2 will occasionally report stats that are well outside expectation--in other words, obvious errors. On separate occasions, I have had disparate weight and body fat percentage "spikes" that were well outside expectation (e.g a 15% body fat reduction in one week; outstanding change, but wholly unrealistic and obviously wrong.)
Again, most of the time the measurements are within the tolerance of expectation, but given the nature of the device's purpose, those occasional fluctuations should be rare, not semi-frequent (in my experience, "semi-frequent" equates to 2 out of 13 measurements; approximately 15% of the time.)
The app for the Qardio 2 is great in the information it provides, and it links to several fitness & nutrition apps (for me, most importantly, it ties directly to Apple Health.) Still, if that information is not consistent with one's fitness & nutrition behavior, it doesn't mean much.
Hopefully, the Qardio team will see this type of feedback and adjust (if possible) the firmware to account for/amend such errata. Until then, consideration of a device with more consistent accuracy may be in order.
I spoke with Austin at Qardio's tech support 855 240-7323 today. He was experienced and very professional. He worked with my wife and myself on the phone to configure our Qardio app on our iPhones and iPads so that we can now store a history of the measurements taken by our QardioArm and our QardioBase2. I just sent his boss, Alison, an email, suggesting that she give him a raise. And a promotion.
So, as of 07Aug2019, I have changed my rating (from 1 star up) to 4 stars. I will change my rating to five stars when the Qardio app works in both landscape and portrait modes, when the Qardio app works with FaceID, and when the Qardio app works with 5GHz routers. As of 07Aug2019, the Qardio heart rate monitor is still not approved by the FDA.
Qardio's app does not work. So, I cannot keep a history of my blood pressure or my weight.
I contacted their tech support seven times over a two week period, both by phone and by email. They did send me a new QardioBase2 scale, after they said my first one was defective. They also updated their app. However, after shipping their first scale back, and after deleting and reinstalling their newly updated app, and then installing the new scale, it still does not work. I have spent maybe six hours trying to coax the Qardio app and Qardio equipment to actually do what their marketing department says it should do. No joy.
On Monday 29Jul2019, when I called Qardio's tech support phone number, 855 240-7323, all I got is a recording that says no one is available to answer the call, and to please send them an email. Which I did, because their sixty day cash back period for me is expiring in three days.
I want to get my QardioBase2 scale, my QardioArm blood pressure monitor, and the tracking history, all working together. I have failed, and I fear that I am out hundreds of dollars.

First the good thing about these scales:
1. They look good - I have had a lot of comments from guests over the last 2 years about how cool my scales look. However, while it’s nice that these things aren’t hideous, I didn’t buy the scales just so they look good.
2. It has some nice features
That’s about it! Now onto the bugs:
1. While about 70% of the time this thing is quite consistent, the other 30% of the time I’d get more accurate readings by guessing my weight. There have been mornings where I get on the scales and don’t trust what I see, so I immediately try again and get a different reading... and not by a small margin. There have literally been times when I stood on these scales 10 times in a row and got 10 different readings, all within a range of about 20lbs.
2. Wifi issues - There have always been connectivity issues with this, but for a long time I was able to make it work. However, at the start of last month it completely packed in and now it’s just an expensive glass brick on my floor. I still get weight measurements for what that’s worth, but thanks to my attempts to fix these scales by resetting them, I now only get those readings in lbs only, they continue to be inaccurate, and there are none of the other features I bought these scales for available.
3. The App - I’ve never liked the app for these scales. I think it’s unintuitive and laid out really poorly. It’s not so bad you can’t use it (hence why I’ve had the scales for 2 years) but at the same time it’s never a good experience. Also, on an android phone (can’t speak for iPhone) if you open it up, it will continue to run in the background and drain your battery if you don’t shut the app down completely.
Overall, these scales are expensive, buggy and not a good buy at all. They work just enough that I haven’t ever really considered sending them back, but now that they’ve packed in just two years after buying them I realise I really should have. I deliberately paid extra for smart features and quality, and it’s been buggy at best since I got it. There’s another set of smart scales here on amazon (uk) that has over 143,000 positive reviews that offers way more features than these scales and costs £100 less. I haven’t tried them yet, but with that many positive reviews, I’m much happier taking a risk on those than another set of scales at this price bracket.
Finally, just to show that I’m not just an odd one out here. I bought these scales based off the recommendation of a friend, and that same friend has apologised for that recommendation multiple times since because he experiences the exact same issues.
They have reproduced the WiFi problem below and will fix it at some stage in the future
For now just take the phone to the toilet and keep the app open and it will use blutooth so the scale is usable now
-------------old below----------------
I made 2 accounts male and female - two show stoppers
1) Setup whent ok untill it got to the bit "tap the scale to chose the correct profile"
This does not happen, what you have to actualy do is ...
Step on scale do the wait until it normaly shows the weight... here it shows the list of people... so you have to get off the scale at this point and tap the scale to find the right person then it shows the weight fat % and the name you already chose taping on it.
2) Now the biggie..
When using the scale away from the phone as instructed using wifi...
It "NEVER" logs the reading as YOURS, even with manual setting of the name as in the above paragraphs......
What is realy anoying, you are suposed to "Claim" the readings as your own (It already correctly knows your name) but...
You are suposed to swipe left to claim this reading as yours but there is no option to do this... Only a delete reading icon
This maybe a lack of love for the Android App but come on guys at least make it work for one person
Update: also trying the female profile always results in SAVE ERROR on the scales my male one seems to work sometimes
I will contact Qardio maybe they can roll back the firmware to a working one :¬( and i will update here
