I started my solar system with these batteries and have been steadily adding to it. I hate to say that I have abused them a little but they've held up great. I now have 12 of these wired to 24v with a victron charger and my generator is getting a much needed break. I moved to living off grid entirely on one of the wettest, cloudiest winters and they've held up a fridge, tv, Playstation, lights, a fan, and even an electric water heater on occasion. If you're looking for agm batteries I would highly recommend vmax!

Won’t hold a charge after 8 months

These batteries stopped holding a charge within 8 months. They were hooked up to my solar panels the entire time via a charge controller. I contacted the seller through amazon and their website, got one response on amazon, and no further help since then. It’s been almost 2 months I’ve been trying to get assistance. Hoping this review gets their attention.

Update: got in touch with customer service via phone number they provided, very good customer service so far, will update with outcome.

Update: customer service was excellent and batteries were replaced, I just had to pay return shipping.

I bought two of these for a Minn Kota 24 volt trolling motor. I ran the batteries daily for 5 days straight, approximately 4-5 hours per day, before they showed half full, and ready to be charged. I should also mention that the motor was rarely used at full power, probably closer to 30-50%. At full power, they'd likely drain nearly twice as fast. That said, my previous interstate batteries had to be charged nightly under the same usage conditions, so these are a huge upgrade. For me, they're worth every penny, especially if you can't charge your batteries every night. I would recommend these to my friends and family, for whatever that's worth. Hope this helps you decide for yourself.

I was very happy with the first pair of these VMax batteries I purchased in 2013 for a small solar install in my barn. They lasted me almost 8 years with no issues. I bought another pair in December of 2020 which now will not hold a charge. I contacted the seller on February 8th as it is a warranty issue. After answering a whole series of questions by someone obviously not familiar with batteries, I was told that my info would be submitted to someone in the technical department. To date I have heard nothing. I will certainly not buy any more batteries from this seller again and it looks like the batteries have become junk too. I made a very bad mistake of buying four more of these in the same time period for another off grid install. I don't have time to play games with people who do not honor warranties and sell junk batteries. Do yourselves a favor and do NOT buy.
