Quake has been billed as "THE" game out there for years...I find it a bit boring, compared to Unreal Tournament 2004. The 2K4 terminology for Quake would be "run and gun." That only goes so far as entertainment, and then gets very boring very fast. 2K4 is more of a strategy based game that can hold a person's interest for hours, especially the Sniper type servers. Consider buying it if you don't already own it, and give it a try.
Did not come with the CD Key as stated, but I got it working another way. Otherwise, the CD ROM was in great condition. It's great to fire up Quake 3 Arena again!
I used to play this game all the time back in the day. I got reminded of it the other day and I just had to play it again. I ordered it at a very reasonable price and the shipping was relatively quick. It arrived in good packaging and in great shape. I was able to install it right away and start reminiscing. A lot of fun. So glad I was still able to find it after so many years.
This game for the PC is absolutely addictive! I can not get enough of it. While, the game can get repeditive, switch to hard mode if you need some more action and the bots will be all over you.
This game's engine does not seem to work on Windows 7. It runs excellent on Windows X P only. If you have Windows 7 Pro and download the Windows x p version from Microsoft, there's a chance it could load.
