I loved the bookish heroine who is also an effective witch.
I loved the handsome hero with a tortured past and tortured soul.
Oh how I longed for them to have their happy ending!
The author did a great job of weaving the play of Tarot cards throughout the plot, and in fact, driving the plot with them. It was clever and interesting.
Nearly flawless editing job. Reading the story was effortless, engaging, emotional.
Sex scenes and sex talk in the book were for 18+ audience, preferably married!
Extremely high quality romance novel, well worth the price. Thanks, Ms. Mason, for an entertaining weekend read.
Warning to sensitive readers: There is some female on male torture of a sexual nature. Could be disturbing to some readers.
In Nina Mason's debut novel, Graham and Cat find one another through an ethereal pull that at first she does not understand. As the story progresses, we learn about their history and the impossible odds stacked against them. An excellent balance between external forces and internal conflicts makes this a well rounded page turner. The characters and well developed and easy to envision as well, even the minor ones.
Not only is the plot compelling, but the rich detail makes it a book you want to savour. I thoroughly enjoyed Queen of Swords and will certainly look for others by this new and talented author. Well done Ms. Mason.
This book fulfills a persons reading senses to the max LOVED IT
Cat has dealt with the mental anguish of past life memories assailing her she is driven to find a way to liberate the other half of her soul from self destructions and peril at the hands of an evil sorcerer.
I found myself entrance within the lives of both Cat and Graham as they race to accomplish the needle in a haystack by defeating the dark sorcerer who has killed her twice in her soul's lifetime. Praise for Nina's story that left me wanting to turn the next page when there were none left to turn!
I highly recomend this. It is a book for adults but withtoday's teenagers they would probably like it too. I do hop someone gets this book to the film industry. Really would like to see it in a movies. A must read!
