From Queer To Christ: My Journey Into the Light Paperback – August 28, 2016

About the Author
For years I struggled with my Christian faith and homosexuality. Raised in the South (the Bible Belt) by a father who was a Southern Baptist minister, I wanted to share my painful journey through a secular world at odds with homosexuality and a religious world that is hostile to homosexuals. Perhaps sharing the journey through the eyes, and mind, of a confused child dealing with homosexuality will give some insight into the pain and difficulty of navigating these two worlds. I eventually spent approximately 25 years immersed in the world of homosexuality and will briefly share the pitfalls of that life. This is not an attack on, nor am I a spokesperson for, the LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender) or Christian communities and my story is not a representation of what all LGBT individuals experience. This is merely my journey and what I learned along the way. Thank you for reading.

There is another group that promotes Side X – This group is basically EX_GAY – or having the belief that one cannot be a GAY and a Christian. Those holding this viewpoint are generally removed from the GCN; since their belief is incompatible with the Mission Statement of GCN.
The author of this Book, came onto the GCN website and pretended to be Side B. Throughout most of the book the author maintains (or seems to maintain) the viewpoint of Side B. If the book had remained on the Side B track – I would not have had an issue – disagree with it Yes, Since I find myself Side A – but I would not have made a big issue of it.
BUT the author suddenly changes in the later chapters of the Book and insists that one cannot be a Christian and Gay. Believe the actual phrase – “A True Christian is not Gay”.
I find it ironic – that someone who “CLAIMS” to honor Jesus Christ and His attributes; has no problem ; lying and deceiving his way onto a website devoted to combating the oppression of Gay Christians – and turns around and promotes a BOOK that basically says – One cannot be Gay and Christian. In the Books Appendix – the first item is pointing to the promises deliverance from homosexuality. The website it promotes is Living Stones Ministries.
From Their website -- LIVING STONES MINISTRIES is a member ministry of Restored Hope Network, a network of ministries around the world–”Proclaiming, educating, and impacting the world with the Biblical truth that freedom from homosexuality is possible when Jesus is Lord of one’s life.”
Yep, that sure sounds like Side B to me (said with heavy sarcasm)
Since there is no Zero star rating …. Guess I will have to give it one star…… but in my opinion you are wasting your money – all you need to do is attend ANY fundamentalist church to hear it loudly proclaimed “There is no such thing as a Gay Christian”
