Quest Boards by Made in Mars
Made in Mars is a rethinking of what a board sports company is all about. Due to our “alien” company culture, we embraced the “Made in Mars” name. Looking around we saw a lot of companies in our Biz, many that were doing a good, and sometimes even a great job at making boards and trying to fit into the “Action Sports lifestyle”. This was all great, but it just wasn’t for us.
We design and make our own product, so we know what we are asking you to spend your money on. Next we wanted to offer the best of the tradition brands, and by working with some of the real pioneers of the Skateboard, Surf and Snow Board world, help reinvent them using today’s best components, great fresh art and new technology. We also dreamed up a couple of brand new initiatives, because one size never fits all. We did all this, keeping better components and the highest quality. Trust us that isn’t easy and definitely makes for some long days!

As I entered college, I realized at least 50% of the students at my school were riding a board to get to and from classes. I decided to buy into the trend (monkey see monkey do) and ordered this Cruiser board to learn how to ride. I am a very small person so the small 27 inch deck seemed rather convenient for me. After learning how to ride, I can say it definitely beats walking across campus, or in any setting really.

That's more about skating in general though. Regarding the board itself, I think its a good buy for anyone who is interested in learning how to skate. I think those that are more advanced might prefer to shell out some more money for a better quality board with better features, but this board by Quest is pretty solid. A friend of mine did change the bearings so riding it feels a little better. I have also received many compliments on the design; its basically the same in person as it is in the pictures.

I rely heavily on reviews when purchasing stuff on the internet and know the importance of writing them as well to help others in their decisions. If you found this short review to be informative in any way, please mark as "helpful". I would appreciate it very much! Have a great day!

Bought this board as a cheap get around as my "43.5" SC was too precious and big to ride around on casually, I guess it suited its purpose but there were some issues.

I'll start with the pros on this one then lead onto the cons.
-shipping was great! arrived one day before scheduled and was well wrapped and presented when it came, no damage at all.
-bearings are good I guess. They can carry a fair amount of speed, and the grip tape is also nice.
-wheels are also good(they're more of a dark blue than a turquoise by the way). They're nice and grippy, and the design on the bottom of the board is also great, got some nice compliments on it around school. (it's more purple as well BTW, not blue at all).

Onto the con's:
-I live in New Zealand so shipping was really expensive (cheapest option cost me the same as the board did).
-The trucks suck! they're misplaced I believe, so it ALWAYS wants to pull to the right, and one wheel hovers all the time.
-The edges of the grip tape aren't always parallel to the edge of the board, so it makes the deck look warped.
-There's TONNES of wheel bite!! thank god for the slight kick tail or else I wouldn't be able to do tight turns!
-Finally as a minor. There are some loud hidden rattles, but I guess It's just loose hardware..

Overall I say go with a Santa Cruz Land Shark! I can almost guarantee you the extra money will be well worth it. If need be I can also make a youtube video if anyone wants to have a better look at the board (I myself couldn't find any).

In conclusion I Hope this review helped, and that your final choice is a successful one. cheers :)

I just got my board tonight. I have to say that I am in no way an experienced skateboarder this is my first time using a board (aside from occasionally riding on my friends long boards or skateboards for a couple of minutes) I just took it out of the package and it looks really nice like other people have said the bottom of the board is not the blue it's definitely more of a dark purple but other people have also said that the wheels are not the lights blue seen in the picture for me they are very light blue. I just wrote it down a long walkway where I live and it works very nicely I know some people were complaining about it curving to one side naturally. for me I tested it by putting it on the ground and just pushing it and it went straight without any curves or turn. I really enjoyed it People also have said it the wheels are not to lose and stop as soon as you stop I do not have that problem in fact I think they are pretty loose for me but I am a beginner so I might be bias on how fast it can go. I will say when I first tried it on the sidewalk it was going by itself all I did was step on it and my weight pushed it down that should give you a little clue as to how loose the wheels are in a good way. I'm assuming that happened because the sidewalk is as a slight incline but it is so subtle that I didn't know that it was and I have walk to that sidewalk for over three years now. I bought it so I could get around on campus and around Westwood where I live. I think it's pretty awesome for its price I really did not want to spend over $100 for a board I'm just beginning with. Overall I love it the design is great even better in person I enjoy the grip tape on the top it helps me keep it in balance so I don't fall. I'm sure more experienced the borders might see problems with this board. I do not it seems relatively easy and a great board for a beginner I'm not entirely too sure why I didn't give it a five it might be peer pressure either way it's a great Baird.

I bought this as my first board. I did not want to rack out $160 for a sector nine before I knew if I would like it. This board is fairly nice. There is nothing wring with it, it is just so unstable. I bought this when it was on sale for $35. Do not pay any more for this board. I intend on selling it to one of my friends. But over all, its not a bad board, I just do not ride it now that I have a sector nine. The wheels are also a lot darker than they look in the picture. Its a nice board for a beginner.
