Quest Boards by Made in Mars Made in Mars is a rethinking of what a board sports company is all about. Due to our “alien” company culture, we embraced the “Made in Mars” name. Looking around we saw a lot of companies in our Biz, many that were doing a good, and sometimes even a great job at making boards and trying to fit into the “Action Sports lifestyle”. This was all great, but it just wasn’t for us. We design and make our own product, so we know what we are asking you to spend your money on. Next we wanted to offer the best of the tradition brands, and by working with some of the real pioneers of the Skateboard, Surf and Snow Board world, help reinvent them using today’s best components, great fresh art and new technology. We also dreamed up a couple of brand new initiatives, because one size never fits all. We did all this, keeping better components and the highest quality. Trust us that isn’t easy and definitely makes for some long days!

That's more about skating in general though. Regarding the board itself, I think its a good buy for anyone who is interested in learning how to skate. I think those that are more advanced might prefer to shell out some more money for a better quality board with better features, but this board by Quest is pretty solid. A friend of mine did change the bearings so riding it feels a little better. I have also received many compliments on the design; its basically the same in person as it is in the pictures.
I rely heavily on reviews when purchasing stuff on the internet and know the importance of writing them as well to help others in their decisions. If you found this short review to be informative in any way, please mark as "helpful". I would appreciate it very much! Have a great day!
I'll start with the pros on this one then lead onto the cons.
-shipping was great! arrived one day before scheduled and was well wrapped and presented when it came, no damage at all.
-bearings are good I guess. They can carry a fair amount of speed, and the grip tape is also nice.
-wheels are also good(they're more of a dark blue than a turquoise by the way). They're nice and grippy, and the design on the bottom of the board is also great, got some nice compliments on it around school. (it's more purple as well BTW, not blue at all).
Onto the con's:
-I live in New Zealand so shipping was really expensive (cheapest option cost me the same as the board did).
-The trucks suck! they're misplaced I believe, so it ALWAYS wants to pull to the right, and one wheel hovers all the time.
-The edges of the grip tape aren't always parallel to the edge of the board, so it makes the deck look warped.
-There's TONNES of wheel bite!! thank god for the slight kick tail or else I wouldn't be able to do tight turns!
-Finally as a minor. There are some loud hidden rattles, but I guess It's just loose hardware..
Overall I say go with a Santa Cruz Land Shark! I can almost guarantee you the extra money will be well worth it. If need be I can also make a youtube video if anyone wants to have a better look at the board (I myself couldn't find any).
In conclusion I Hope this review helped, and that your final choice is a successful one. cheers :)
