Top Customer Reviews

By Clint Ballinger on September 5, 2014
Format: Hardcover
The best book ever written on political separatism/independence. One of the lesser known books by the highly regarded author of The Death and Life of Great American Cities, it is concise, enlightening, and a joy to read. Jacobs' The Question of Separatism also discusses much more than Quebec, and applies to polities and nations everywhere.

Read along with Robert A. Dahl's On Democracy and you are far ahead of most in understanding the key dimensions of modern politics and national states.
