I completely agree with the previous review. I am a registered dietitian in NYC and see many patients referred by their doctors for lipid management. They ask many questions such as: "what are triglycerides?", "can you help me understand these blood work results?", "what should I eat?", etc. This amazing book provides brief and clear answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Patients will be able to utilize this information to make immediate changes to their lifestyle and have a more educated dialogue with their physicians. Dietitians will be empowered to better help their patients. Great resource!

Since cardiovascular disease is responsible for nearly half of all illness and death in the world, everyone should be aware of how to recognize and deal with risks for this problem. This book is written and edited by physicians from the National Lipid Association, recognized experts and thought leaders in this field. It is concise, readable, and chocked full of good information to help patients understand the implications of screening for and detection of cardiovascular risks and managing them to reduce one's chance of having a heart attack or stroke. Highly recommended for everybody!! D H Clark MD
