I liked the concepts outlined in the first few chapters. They were beneficial in crafting an interview strategy. But the book gets tedious as it drags on through territory she is not fluent in. A worthy read for anyone looking for a job.

So I purchased this book to improve my interview skills. All my jobs in the past have derived from connections or internships where I was able to come in as a student and demonstrate my strong work ethic and skills. The unfortunate part is that I have very little experience in interviewing for a real career position on my own. I am an introvert by nature so this book provided very concise and efficacious strategies. It really opened up my mind to enter an interview with a different mindset. It gave me the black and white version of an interview--very straight forward and good on strategies to optimize the brief time you have in an interview. With this book, I landed the job of my dreams! I highly recommend this book. I will say that it is important to adjust the suggestions and tips in the book to the job you are interviewing for. It is important to be flexible with the ideas given.

This book was a great read and still very relevant. It reminded me of things I was forgetting to do during my interviews that cost me the job. I used this book for the first time for a very competitive job I really wanted and got it. Feed back from my new boss was that I kicked everyone else's ass in the interview process. My diligence in applying the books tools worked so well, I recommended it to 20 people I know already, and bought several as christmas gifts for the young adults in my family. Thank you Ms. Kelly!

I've been out of the job market for awhile, and this book has valuable information. I was at my last job for 20 years and so was pretty rusty when it comes to interviewing. Now with this book I feel a lot more prepared.

This is the first career-help type book I've read, and I ended up really loving it. It has real, practical tips, exercises, and homework to help you prepare for interviews. I followed this book to the T, and I got a new job after I applied the tips! Have already passed it along to a friend!
