I recently purchased Pro 2017 from Amazon because older versions of QuickBooks have serious problems working with Windows 10. Unfortunately, Amazon reversed the Product Number and the License Number that was emailed to me and provided to Intuit. As a result, although I was able to figure out the error in the email, Intuit did not receive the correct registration information. This resulted in about three hours of my time attempting to correct the error and using Intuit phone support to correct the mistake.
I was forced to update my password to a stronger password which I wasn't thrilled about. The new password must be at least 7 bytes with at least 1 upper case character and 1 numeric character. No special character was required. The program gave a message that the password should be changed every 90 days. I don't know if that means they will force the change.
One problem I had was that when I elected to "Activate Quickbooks" I had to fill out an online page with a lot of information like name, address, company name, company address, email addresses, phone numbers, marketing questions etc. Many fields are mandatory. I typed it all in and hit submit and got "Session Timed Out". I almost screamed, then went through activate again this time more quickly and I got a message that Activation was successful. I may have reduced the time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. I have to believe the timeout was a fluke.
In my opinion Quickbooks makes the job of accounting for a small company somewhat easy. The interface changes for me are an improvement over my older version. Overall I rate this program very high.
