"Every mom needs time to step back, unwind and, most importantly, connect with God. If you are looking for a respite from being overwhelmed by the busy mom life, I highly recommend Quiet Time!"
--Ruth Schwenk, founder of The Better Mom, co-author of For Better or For Kids and Pressing Pause
"Oh weary mama, I've been there (& I am there). This parenting gig is rough. Guilt over angry outbursts and exhaustion from endless needs, we end the day feeling pretty beat up. Thankfully, Samantha offers understanding and encouragement through her relatable stories and Biblical wisdom. Quiet Time ministered to my soul after a long day ministering to little souls. May these pages provide nourishment and filling so you can pour out to your little people today."
--Heather MacFadyen, founder of God Centered Mom
"I first caught the fresh perspective of Samantha's writing when we worked together at RightNow Media. And I admired her commitment when she left to stay at home with her growing family. I'm happy I still can enjoy her godly insight and find myself gently challenged by her words."
--Jackie Mosley, senior publisher, RightNow Media
"I thoroughly enjoyed my journey through this Devotional Retreat. Practical and honest, I saw the dailyness of my own beautiful/messy life in its pages. Samantha points back to Christ at every turn and clearly is a mom struggling well."
--Emily Thomas, founder of Mom Struggling Well
"As a fellow mom in the trenches, I can say wholeheartedly that Samantha Krieger's devotional Quiet Time speaks to me right where I live. With compassion, grace, and real-life experience, Samantha encourages mothers in their faith, their friendships, and navigating the ins and outs of mothering. Reading this book is like having a coffee date with one of your best friends; you'll come away refreshed."
--Brandy Bruce, author of Looks Like Love and the Romano Family series

When I was bringing up my own kids, there were devotional books out there. I even managed to read some of them. However, none of them validated my feelings and thoughts like this one did and even does now that my kids are adults. This book is amazing for young women in the trenches of motherhood (as Samantha puts it), but it's also very uplifting and affirming for us older moms who may be going through struggles, whether parenting related or not. I recommend this wonderful devotional book for ALL women and I will be purchasing several copies as gifts!
The thing about being a mom is this: it's never-ending. This devotional comes right in where you feel like you might need a helping hand and offers it. Samantha's words of wisdom are biblically based and very practical. A good read for any mom with young children at home!
My favorite entry was the one on hospitality, where I could totally relate with her "death by chocolate” experience. Such a great reminder to put aside my anxieties and ignore the glued macaroni on my floor long enough to ask myself “Who’s God asking ME to invite into the four corners of MY beautiful mess?”
If you’re a mom who's “in the thick of it” (Let’s be honest, WE ALL ARE) this book, with it’s short meaningful daily encouragements is for YOU (and can be easily snuck into a locked bathroom or dark closet)! 'Quiet Time' will help you re-charge and re-focus whether you’re at the beginning, middle, or end of your beautiful messy kid-filled day.
