The product is made of plastic and feels very solid. The door closes securely in place, but can be opened easily without overt effort. The tension on the door is very satisfying, in fact. There are two holes on the back that allow for mounting with screws. These holes are positioned in such a way that, with the door open, you can see the wall for the purpose of lining up the screws and tightening them to the plug hub. The designers had users in mind when they put this together. I have a large power strip that is also a surge protector; it's larger than the power strip in the picture. The size is not a problem, however, and my cords still plug and wrap securely. One of the plugs is even an odd shape, yet the plug hub still functions as designed. I could not be happier with this purchase.
Underneath my computer desk was a mess of cables. I'd tried using loops and ties, but that didn't totally solve the problem. I bought the Quirky Plug Hub on a whim while it was on a flash sale. I'm absolutely glad that I did. I mounted the plug hub on the wall right below my desk, and after a bit of untangling, my cords are neatly stationed. No more mess, and no more hanging power strip. Now it looks like I actually care about my computer equipment.

Injection molded cheap plastic junk. The front door has a poorly designed locking mechanism, and I'm just waiting for the day it doesn't stay shut anymore. It looks and feels like it should cost about a fourth as much as it does, which I've found to be the case with all "Quirky" branded products. Don't buy "Quirky" branded products. They engineer the things to be disposable, and they only cost pennies to manufacture, and then they sell them like they're made of gold and will solve all your problems.

Boo, Quirky. How could you get the Pivot Power Strip so right and then not make this compatible with it? Instead, I have to use an old fashioned power strip where I can't use every plug because some of what I want to plug in has power bricks, which defeats the purpose! If I try to use the Pivot Power Strip, it hangs over the edge, and then I can't wall mount this, which was why I bought it. (I wanted cords off the floor so I could use my Roomba without any issue).
I actually like the look and design, although I agree with the other reviews that for the price, and without a power strip included, it is pricey for what it is. For the next generation, if you built in the Pivot Power Strip, this would be the single best cord management solution. But as it is, I've bought the Blu-Lounge Design CB-01 instead.

I work at home and my employer doesn't allow us to connect wirelessly so I have lots of cords….modem, router, PC, two monitors, and a VOIP phone system. This allows me to funnel all the cords into one place between the back of my desk and the wall placing the desk very close to the wall without having to worry that a cord is getting pinched or bent.
I bought the second one to funnel the cords from my personal items which are also in my home office and it keeps them separate from each other.
I definitely recommend this item especially if you are an organized neat-nick like myself.
This item can also be mounted on the wall if you wish, but I just set mine on the floor.
I haven't seen anything else on the market like it, but I have tried other cord management items and this is much more compact and definitely neater. Because the item opens it's easy to see and remove/unplug one item if needed.
All "pros", and no "cons" in my humble opinion.

I'm a very clean person, everything has to be organized and looking good
before I can set down and do some work on my desktop.
I use to avoid looking under my desk.
After buying this though, I can safely look underneath it :)
It's a great product, and very easy to setup and use. The only difficult part
is wrapping the cords just right so that they fit nice and snug. I think this is more of a
fault on the cords part then on this hub haha.
Honestly, after you get all the cords in, it looks great. I bought two and they
really hide everything well and make my desk look sharp.

Whoever came up with this had the same problem I did. I work from home and have a gazillion cords under my desk that were driving me crazy. I've tried a few different things to clean them up but they always ended up looking like an absolute mess. 10 minutes, and two of these massively cleaned up my power cords.
You can fit two thin power strips on the base, and what a difference it makes under the desk. I'd like the price to be lower, it's pretty expensive for the materials, but I imagine part of the price is the innovation, and to me it was worth it, times TWO.

I purchased this to help clear up some of the nightmare cord jungle that exists behind my TV stand. It serves its purpose, but it could definitely be better for the price. First of all, the unit is made out of pretty cheap and flimsy plastic. You probably don't notice it from 6 feet away, but up close it looks noticeably cheap. The unit also had trouble managing power bricks, some of which wouldn't fit inside. If this were under ten dollars, I would recommend it. For more than that, though, I'm not sure it's a good buy.

I thought I was getting aluminum, but what I received was made of plastic. I use this for my TV, DVR and Xbox, and the cables are a little too thick to all fit in the station. Nevertheless it keeps my cables tidy and mostly dust free, although I am still wondering why I paid this much for a plastic box which effects I can replicate with a shoebox and some cable ties.

Great product, essy to install. Cool design!

I purchased 3 of these, and my office floor is now completely cable free. I was able to screw them onto the back of desks in just a few minutes and had sorted everything in half an hour. It a simple but clever design and I couldn't find anything similar. Also a bonus that they were on offer when I purchased!

Stuck this with Velcro under my desk, together with an 8-plug extender and it does the job very well. Very happy with it. The lid is somewhat flimsy, but once closed the overall hub is solid.

Nice box but not practical for my purposes
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 10, 2016Verified Purchase
This is a nice box but unlike the image very few appliances have plus like that. The PC dapter plug sidewise and the wires don't bend enough to allow for the lid to close. I might have to return this unfortunately.

Great for hiding all your cables. I hate to see cables trailing everywhere and this product is fantastic for the problem
