I was a little surprised it only selects specific voltages, turning the pot does not allow you to select any voltage, just the preset ones. However,the selectable ones are good. The price sure was right.

Works well. I love the adjustability. Note that the screw is "backwards". Right lowers the voltage!

One downside: this will backfeed power. Have 12V as input and set to 5V out. When I power the 5V side to program the device over USB, I measure around 4V on the input. With the 12V power brick disconnected from AC, the backfed power will actually light up an indicator LED on the brick. Need to add a diode.

Love these buck converters. I messed up and bought some LED's that run @ or below 9 volts. They can be ran at 12 volts but start smoking and get very hot. These buck converters allow me to hook those LED's up in my RV and tone down the voltage enough for the LED's to run cool but put off enough light. These are very small, I'd guess, one and a quarter inches by one inch.

Knocked off a star because they get a little warmer than they should, mathematically speaking. They do what I need, however. Just take regular checks with your multimeter when you're setting things up. The voltage slowly drops a tiny bit over the first hour or so, but then it stays steady.

Seems to work well. It took me a few tries to get it to output 5v (with a 12v input). I was also a little nervous the pot would move after I put some heat shrink on it, but it seems fine. I am able to run a raspberry Pi and NeoPixel, both 5v (in parallel) off this. I use it for running OctoPi and displaying the NeoPixel LED when I am printing. Great price on these.

Had good hope for these but the voltage out is way unstable. You can tune it down but the Trim POT is two small for this unit and it's a very cheap component. What would make this better is a bigger size Trim POT.

I have only used one of the five, so far, but I was able to adjust the voltage easily, and it was rock solid for the hour I checked on it. It's now installed. For my application the input voltage into this circuit varies from 12v - 25.2v. The output voltage on this circuit I have set to deliver 11.6v. The adjustment pot functions very nicely to fine tune the desired voltage and the output voltage is rock solid. Smaller than a postage stamp and very well labeled for easy wiring. 5 Stars for sure!
