#3: "People are anxious to improve their circumstances, but they are unwilling to improve themselves. They therefore remain bound." - James Allen, English philosopher and writer
Do you play the lottery? Are you a wishful thinker? Would you like many of your life's circumstances to change for the better? Do you believe in luck? As a highly optimistic person, I tend to live on the sunny side of life, where I not only hope for the best but also work to create my own luck.
Exercise: Consider picking up the book, Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell, to explore many surprising insights into the world of success and how the hard work of improving ourselves is a fundamental key to extraordinary living.
#14: "If we were to do all we are capable of doing, we would astonish ourselves." - Thomas Edison, American inventor
What are two or three of your greatest personal achievements? What percent of your total potential did it take for you to achieve these breakthroughs? Many of us are aware of the story of how Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile, and how in the following few weeks, dozens of others did the same. Look at other achievements in our society in entertainment, science, and business, to see what it took for people to reach their goals.
Exercise: What are your unique abilities and talents? What invisible barriers must you break to astonish yourself, and how are you going to break them?

Their statements are all here, inside the pages of this book, accompanied by the thoughts they elicit from Barry Demp, the first coach in Michigan to earn the Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coach Federation.
Every morning I flip this book open without regard to page number and dive in to Barry Demp's coaching wisdom.
Each lesson is short, written with clarity, and gives me a mental and physical focus for the day, and I am delighted with this new tool for self-discovery and self-mastery!
