This book is very funny, and it wouldn't have disappointed at all except that the binding fell off almost as soon as my sister opened the pages after Christmas. Other than the shoddy glue paste-up job someone had done, this book was a good find. :)

I got this book as a gift and it was a light, fun read. It took me an hour to read. It is essentially a book of politically incorrect, or just plain stupid quotes from politicians and certain celebrities. Unfortunately the book literally fell apart in my hands as I was finishing reading it. The binding is exceptionally awful and the pages are now completely separated from the spine as well as each other. Don't spend money on this book! Look for it in a library, or better yet, read it at the bookstore and leave it there.

Editor Margaret McGuire of Quirk Books has created a book that any High Schooler could put together in hour using Wikipedia. Since I do want this short review to make it through into print, let's just say that the correct subtitle of the book would be, "A Treasury of Spectacularly Poorly Researched Quotes and Innuendo That I Hope You Rubes Will Pay For". I found my copy at a thrift store; the original purchaser apparently quickly realized that this book is not a keeper. Editor McGuire deserves to have a page in her own book.
