We’ve had this for years and it’s held up great and the kids still play with it. We live near the beach so it gets used almost every weekend. Definitely recommend. So much better than those cheap shovels that break after 2 uses!!!!!
I thought my 8 year old would like a different kind of sand tool for the beach, but this is just "ok." The prongs are quite small and don't pull enough sand. The water-holes are difficult to use and get gummed up quite easily. We let other kids play with it on the beach, ages ranging from 3 - 13 and it was pretty quickly discarded in favor of just hands. The good feature, I guess, would be that the handle/stick feature is thin, smooth and quite long, making it easy to hold.
It's a pretty color and attracts attention, but it's not really the best tool on the market. Really want to scoop sand? But a cheap garden scoop.
We live right by the beach, my 4 and 6 yr old play with this all the time! They use it in so many creative ways, all kids want to take a turn playing with it. The nice solid plastic is pleasing to hold and i like that its not going to break and crumble any time soon.
