In the past, I used el cheapo whisks that tended to rust out and were never substantial enough to work very well. Never again.
This whisk has a super grip that allows even the "less than nimble fingered" to slosh and wallop the toughest of batters. I find my obsession for the best of cooking utensils satisfied from this superior culinary tool and proclaim the truth as to it's mix o matic work ethic. Please, do yourself and your family a favor. Buy this Whisk. Life will never be the same, in, or out of the kitchen.
Update: Five years later, I am just tired of this whisk falling out of bowls and making a huge mess. It is always the last one I grab. The handle is just SO heavy. I got more Oxo whisks and I will be donating this to the good will. It is not comfortable to use, but worst is the tendency to flip upside down out of the mixing bowl and make a huge mess. Unless you will be using it to whisk egg whites or cream by hand, I would not recommend it. For that purpose though, it works well per Cooks Illustrated.

This is such a useful size, whips or delumps all that I need. Ever tried making some of the mother sauces without one? A Béchamel for instance?Published 23 months ago by Rixmom
Great whisk. Well made, feels good in hand. I don't think I will be buying a new whisk for a long time, if ever again.Published on August 16, 2014 by Catdancer
I would probably compare the quality to those manufactured for Williams Sonoma. It is a nice heavy whisk with a long handle.Published on January 4, 2014 by Nancy
I would recommend this whisk to others. I was looking for something that would not rust. It is nice and sturdy.Published on July 15, 2013 by peachy
This whisk, while pricey, will probably be doing its thing long after I'm gone. It is a nice weight and well balanced, seems not to fatigue the arm and hand as much asa others.Published on January 17, 2013 by Keith B. Steenbergen
I have been using whisks purchased at the supermarket for years thinking they were all the same. I bought this whisk and it works so much better than anything else I've used... Read morePublished on May 7, 2012 by DTHN2LGS
