Fortune Bubble BLOWS!

Bait and switch. This was not at all like the original gum. I threw away the box I opened and gave away the other two boxes.
I don't understand why Albert's and Son who made the original fortune bubble would change the gum recipe for the remake.
If you buy the gum for the fortune, you will love this stuff. If you buy the gum for nostalgia or if you just loved the original gum,
save your money.

Ahhh, Fortune Bubble Bubble Gum. Take me back to my childhood and IMHO the best tasting gum ever. Neck and neck with the gum from the baseball card packs of the 70's. God I loved that gum. = )

The gum...well, this is NOT Fortune Bubble gum. It's a knock off that tastes good but is not the original. And my God, it is as hard as a rock! You can barely chew it a first. On first chew I almost hurt my jaw! I was expecting a nice firmish chew but my word, this was ridiculous. My daughter couldn't even chew it! What I did was took and microwaved the gum before opening and chewing it.That warmed it and softened it up. So if you buy or have bought this gum, nuke it! Additionally, the texture is completely different than the smooth shinny original. The thing they got right was the pain in the you know what it is to open a piece.

2 stars is for the taste. All said and done, it is pretty similar in taste and that's what I cared about most. But do not be deceived into thinking this is the original. It is not.

Now...When is someone going to bring back those orange wax harmonicas?
