Blog postI hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day. One of the projects we’ve been working on since moving into this house nearly three years ago, was to make our front yard more waterwise. Removing sections of grass and replacing it with drought resistant plants and mulch. Less to water and less to mow. We completed another section this past weekend and I believe it turned out great. If you have any wonderful yard pictures to share, I’d love to see them.

Blog postAfter issues with my newsletter a few weeks back, with the text getting cut off, I’m happy to say I got Mailerlite to change their settings, giving a little more leeway with the size of a sent newsletter. I worked with my website provider WordPress and they said the problem was on Mailerlite’s side, which is what I suspected. Blog postGreat news. I’ve sent Sold Souls: The Divine Devils Book 3 off to my editor. Feedback from my beta readers was overwhelmingly positive, with a few tweaks made from their feedback. If all goes well I’m hoping for the book to be released in early June. The story delves into the perverse world of Human/Sex Trafficking, so the content is intense and at times can be disturbing. Blog postUnfortunately, in our area, there was a horrible wildfire that ravaged a large portion of Superior and Louisville Colorado on December 30th. The fire quickly engulfed over 6000 acres in a highly populated region, forcing people to evacuate in a matter of minutes as the flames spread at a terrifying pace. Over 1000 homes were destroyed and another 180 were damaged. Devastating to many families in our area. Blog postOur trip to Nashville was a lot of fun. Kim and I had a great time, though it was exhausting. I did lots of events starting Thursday, going through Sunday, including sitting on two panels. When possible, we did some sight-seeing, walking up and down Main Street in Franklin Tennessee and then on Sunday visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville. And oh my…the humidity! Don’t get me started. It was brutal at around 90 percent and temps in the 90’s. All and all a fabulous time8 months ago Read more

"Mr. Weir never fails to write a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and full of action. This one does not disappoint as Jarvis not only gets himself in hot water but the ones around him also. Through all his books Mr. Weir keeps the character of Jarvis real. He is a man that is in danger but always has an eye for the ladies. His character is so realistic that keeps it real, you feel all his emotions right along side him."-Xrayer
"What I loved most about this one is it’s not predictable at all. There’s twists that I never saw coming, and more than once I had to question who was behind it all. There’s some suspense, mystery of course, and it left me hanging off the edge of my seat. There was also a few times I was shocked, but no matter what I felt as if I was right there with Jarvis trying to solve the latest case."- Brandi

Best Detective Novel of the Year!! "I am hooked, R Weir you did it again. I am not going to spoil it for the True Believers, as Stan Lee would say "Excelsior!" I am sure that I could navigate through some of the streets of Colorado just by the vivid and very detailed descriptions provided by R. Weir. The plot is incredible with twists and turns. The characters are also well developed and the description of them gives you a perfect image of them and makes it easier to see the words you read flow like a movie on the screen."... B.K. Maxwell

The Case of the Missing Bubble Gum Card: This a beautiful sweet story that shows a unique time in a young man's life where he learns to be a man in front of a very interesting PI detective. A short read that will have you smiling by the end. Highly recommend.
Tracking A Shadow: R. Weir's Tracking A Shadow is a fresh, fun detective story. Jarvis is a wise-cracking PI. His chatty inner thoughts keep the reader engaged, smiling, and on their toes. The pop culture references add an extra dimension to the story. Mr. Weir does an excellent job of giving the reader the pieces of the puzzle. It's up to the reader to put them together.
Twice As Fatal: Not only is the story engaging, it seems like it’s all wrapped up about halfway through. The cases seem solved. Then there are so many twists and turns, I guarantee you will not see all of them. I love these books and hope the series goes on forever.

Mann in the Crossfire
Reviewers loving the thrilling tough snarky private eye with stories to keep you enthralled to the very end.
Dead Man Code: This is the fifth book in the Jarvis Mann Detective series and I firmly believe that each one keeps getting better. This book shows how an author takes an awesome main character, adds in plenty of thrills, danger, and enough suspense that you will find yourself lost in the book until the final word is read.
The Case of the Invisible Souls: I love Jarvis Mann character as he has such a big heart and is so giving. To me he reminds me of one of those detective in the 1950s movies that just seem to do their own thing. He always seem to have some type of romance in his life until he destroys it. He just pulls you into his world. In this story, he takes his role one step further, he goes undercover just to solve this mystery. Will this put his life in danger? Will he solve this mystery in time? Will he find justice that the homeless so much needs? I highly recommend this story as I know you will fall in love with Jarvis as much as I have.
The Front Range Butcher: This story finds Jarvis hired to investigate a series of murders that happened over 20 years ago and now seem to have started up again. The murders are horrific. No arrest was ever made. His investigation leads him to a man that he comes to believe holds answers to these crimes. This man is cold, calculating, and manipulative. Now he must race against time to find the evidence that will solve this case before another murder is committed. This is a book that had me on the edge of my seat and quickly turning pages to find out what happens next.
Mann in the Crossfire: This book is action packed, suspense filled, lots of intrigue and had a couple of moments that I thought Jarvis wasn't going to make it out alive. There was even an "OMG" shout out loud from me when someone got shot that was just unbelievable to me. I was totally invested in this book. Totally awesome book!
