After using both for about 1 month straight each, it feels like Anker holds more power. My guess is it holds about 25% more so I could at least get 2 full charges to my iphone 4S, or even 2.25 charges. However, I feel like I can only get about 1.5 charges with the RAVPower. Part of the problem is that the RAVPower discharges more easily - the flashlight turns on easily when jostling around in my electronics pouch or just in my purse, so I often find it with no battery left. Also, the light on the RAVPower only turns on when the flashlight is on or when it is being recharged, not when it is charging a phone. So I'm having a hard time determining if it drains when the iphone charging cord is connected, but with no phone to charge. I would think this isn't the case, but because the RAVPower doesn't hold as much charge as the Anker, it's just a theory. With Anker, the light is very clear of when the unit is on and charging or being charged, and completely off. I felt like Anker never turned on accidentally, or if it did, has an automatic turn off if no device is attached.
The flashlight on the RAVPower is handy. There's a removable metal clip for the RAVPower which helps keep it in place in my bag or pocket.
I think the RAVPower is perfectly fine for every day use if you want to have a possible battery back up, plus it's a great deal for $15. The flashlight is a nice accessory add. However, the Anker is more reliable for a situation where you really don't want to miss out on having back up power, like on vacation. So if I had to do it again, I would forgo the flashlight and $5 for more certainty.
Update: One thing that could be added to update this device is a little window that tells you how much charge the device has or if it needs recharging. that would take the guess out of wondering if you have enough charge. Otherwise it's perfect.
