Amazing Headphones. Worth the Purchase.

I purchased these expecting a reshaped pair of Razer Kraken Pro's with better drivers and a newer microphone. I was amazed.

Unlike the last pair of headphones I had purchased from Razer, the build quality was really high and actually metallic in stead of plastic. The microphone was much higher quality and lasted much longer than my older pair, which I had destroyed the microphone on. (No worries, I have a Razer Seiren.) Despite these being made of metal; the headphones were actually lighter on my head than the plastic ones. Truly amazed. And don't get me started on the music quality. The gaming pinpoint accuracy is also great. This is truly the best pair of headphones I have ever purchased for all my computing uses.

The only "problem" I have with them is just out of being paranoid of ruining the speakers on them by playing really loud (earrape-like) music. But actually, the headphones take "earrape" well.

Now, my complaints. The volume monitoring bar. Every once in a while, the scroll will rub against my t-shirt and everything goes quiet. It takes a minute to realize that I rubbed the button, but it's not a huge problem.

Overall, I think you the reader should definitely buy these headphones.

They're Not Reinventing The Wheel.. Pros - Cons

My brother and I can say this revision of the Kraken Pro has shown its strengths, as well as its caveats in comparison with the V1.

Intro - We found this to definitely surpass our expectations in terms of clearer advantageous gaming, however we found it to be a bit disappointing when it came to kicking back to some tunes.

Audio - It's crisper, definitely clearer, and the bass is smoother and almost feels fuller which is definitely beneficial when gaming (which we got was the primary focus of the v2), personally we believe the V1 excelled in the music spectrum (which we listen to a lot.. so we were a bit disappointed). Overall, the audio, even for music, but gaming especially, is great.

Mic - The microphone we found to be again, crisper, clearer, and more responsive than the V1. We only really use it on the console (because we have a dedicated microphone for our PC) but we found it to be a nice step forward in the realm of gaming and communication.

Cord - The cord in general's a decent distance, we've had zero complaints regarding distance. On the other hand, the material is a bit tending to.. tangle which we find generally frustrating. It gets to a point where it conventionally shouldn't be tangled, but the cord itself causes it to lock up in place and feel like we could break it at any moment making us a little scared to tug on the cord, especially in a tangled state - again, disappointing that.

Design - It's slicker, smoother, lighter than the previous variant! The cushions are softer, too! Overall it's definitely suited for long term use and doesn't stick out too sorely when you're sporting it around town or the house (though personally, we prefer buds around town for our music).

So in all, we like it.. it's a step up if your primary focus is gaming, but personally we enjoy something all 'round for music and conventional tug and ware.. but we feel like in the areas it surpassed it also left behind some praised depositions.. at least in our eyes.

Most of the reviews are quite accurate. These are very comfortable. I played destiny 2 for 4 hours with minimal discomfort. 3 stars as it mentioned nothing about needing an adapter for the Xbox, or the extra effort needed to get them to work. I had to buy the chatpad as well. For experienced folks, that might be a no brainer, I just wanted a good headset to play with and didn't know any better. Minor annoyance, and extra shopping trip. The sound is good. I ended up taking the splitter cable that came with it out, and directly attaching to controller. You'd need a third splitter cable to use it in the way it was shipped, which I bought, but didn't work. Very annoyed that I need to buy other things. I would've just bought a Bluetooth set had I known if need to do this extra stuff.

These headphones are Great for gaming, music, and voice calls in pretty much anything. I especially liked that they can be used on PC, mobile, and gaming consoles. They're pretty durable as far as wear and tear goes, but that does have it's limits, obviously. If it's dropped too many times, expect things to come loose, like the ear pads or the padding over the speakers themselves.

Be careful with the wire; while it's durable enough to withstand general wear and tear, if you yank it too much, wrap it around the headset too tightly, or if it gets caught on something enough times, it's going to speed up that wear and tear. The wire, strangely enough, became twisted permanently, gradually more and more, over time on the pair I bought, which was rather annoying to deal with, and had never happened to me with any other headset. (I think it may have been due to the wire guard being made of some sort of cloth, rather than rubber.) I had mine a little over a year before it got a short in the wiring, I'm assuming from being pulled on and twisted too much over time.

Just take good care of it, and you shouldn't have that issue later on down the line. All in all, wonderful product with great sound and mic quality for gaming and general chat. Not very good for music though.

Bought these for my son for Christmas. He had a another brand that broke after 6months. These have been amazing. He loves them because they have phenomenal sound and drown out all of the background noise. I love them because he doesn't need to turn up the volume to get good audio and I don't have to hear everything to which he is listening. They are extremely durable, there is little to no feedback on the microphone and the price is right.
