Mixed feeling about this product. Out of the box everything flies, but its a struggle to keep it stable, even indoors. You will have to adjust the servo arms and perhaps even modify or replace them to get enough travel/use out of them. One of the motors died after a few flights. It just jammed and wouldnt turn. Replaced with new ones which have been ok so far. I have wrestled with this heli to try and get it stable in flight, but its an ongoing battle trying to retain control. I have adjusted things as best as possible, but I suspect the cheaper plastic parts don't hold your adjustments as well as metal aftermarket parts might. I probably wouldn't buy it again, but any new owner can expect to have to tweak it to get it flying even somewhat stable.

I have 4 Venom Beacons and they fly great! Some parts are a little high and they are fragile. I fly at night and dusk when the wind is calm. The motors are the weak link but if you use a little care they will last for several flights. Don't fly bigger batteries even though you can, they may cause the motors to get too hot. Over heated motors cook the magnets. Let it cool several minutes between flights. I crashed mine a lot until I started flying single rotor collective pitch helis. I do not recommend the beacon as a beginner heli it's a much better second or third heli. I sold several of them at WV Hobby and Crafts and only saw 1 bad board. Most of the problems were CRASHING! It is very aggressive and maneuverable for a co-axial heli and will blade strike itself with too aggressive stick movement. I guess it's all opinion but mine is definite Thumbs up.

Don't fly it too high, the motor(s) will burn out.
Had to make drastic adjustments to the ball-link rods to trim this heli.
I was going to use it for photography, but found the Police Helicam with built in camera a much better value.
I was able to fly the Helicam above the height of the house to get videos and stills.
