I am 6'7" and weigh about 315 lbs, so I specifically bought this chair to support me because all of my previous chairs were low-rated office chairs, plus as a lifetime gamer, I wanted to see if the racing chairs were helpful for keeping me in the zone. I bought my chair in March - first chair failed 2 months later, then the replacement a month after that, then the second replacement 5 months later. They have all failed in the same way - the lever located on top of the seat to allow you to angle the chair back loses the ability to support weight and the chair back falls to its lowest position. So basically, don't lean back or you'll fall over. Support has been good so far about the warranty but they seem to think sending a new chair is going to fix the problem every time versus understanding the engineering issue and looking at it that way. My suspicion is that the lever in the 400 line is the same part the manufacturer installs in the lower-rated lines, but can't confirm.
Putting it together took all of 10 minutes, all the pieces fit fine, no manufacturing issues at all..
I am a BIG guy, pushing the weight limit right up to the 400lbs - it is very comfortable to sit in, hold weight fine, is pretty much wide enough when you extend the arms out. I can see how the pillow might flatten relatively soon, but, again, as a big guy, i dont really have expectations of this kind of furniture to hold up as long as a 120lb person would - it comes with the territory.
My ONLY complaint, is the 'bucket' style seats, while super comfortable, and probably not an issue for most people, is that the sides are a bit firm and press into my thighs a bit - its not a deal breaker, or anything that i wont get used to in a few days, but i could see it putting someone not used to it off.
We purchased this chair for an officemate who is having neck problems. The weight accommodation of 400 lbs., and 130° reclining feature, were the primary selling points for us; however, as you can see from the photo of the Respawn chair next to my Corsair chair, my chair absolutely reclines back a solid 80°+ from 0° but the Respawn chair is maybe 40° at best. Needless to say, we're more than mildly disappointed that the chair doesn't truly recline as advertised.
Sides of the seat that go up aren't padded so they pinch and feel uncomfortable . √
The two guides for the back of the chair seemed broken.. Had to fix √
Box was broken open on arrival very surprised nothing was missing ,, the tape they use is almost like scotch tape. √
Reading 5 star reviews on this chair knowing they only gave them 5 stars cause they got it for free,,,,,,,,,,,, just priceless !!!! Will be giving this away once I get another chair
