Before I begin, two words: Love Triangle. And I've read love triangle stories before but this one will tug at your heart strings a bit and just like the heroine you’ll fall head over heels for both men.
Cooper Ryan is introduced in the Sugar Town series. He’s Holly’s ex; the one who left his girl behind to pursue his dream of being a rock star and in the process he loses his girl and child to a man from his woman’s past. From that moment on Coop becomes jaded and heart broken. He doesn't know how he’ll make it through until the moment he meets Ali Jones. And in that instant he knows he has to have her, so he makes her a part of his contract demands. He wants her as the band’s PA no matter the cost. Let’s just say things get a whole lot interesting.
As always Carmen knows how to make her heroines sassy, witty, feisty, and funny as all hell. She did not disappoint with Ali. Her dialogue always had me laughing out loud. She may hate Coop’s guts but she can’t help being attracted to his smirk and his arrogant swag. Seriously, I don’t blame her at all. Coop is one beautiful sexy man who’s vulnerable and sweet yet a total alpha.
Holy banter and sexual tension. Ugh the threesome is what makes this book bloody worth it because ladies not only is Coop hot but there’s also Levi, Zed, and Ash. Yummy. I love them all!!!
So let’s take a moment to appreciate Levi Quinn. He’s got a heart of gold and a massive c**k. He’s also vulnerable and he protects himself by being the womanizer and the jokester. Like Coop, he’s attracted to Ali and ultimately it comes down to who does Ali stay with at the end?
This book will give you everything; angst, sexy time, humor, and hot rock stars. I salute you Carmen, and I anxiously await the arrival of more Taint!!!
So Cooper meets Ali Jones and decides she has to work for his band. She works for the record company and he insists she work on the new Taint tour. Since Ali is homeless and penniless at the moment so she begrudgingly takes the job touring with the hot rockers. At first Cooper is drawn to her because she reminds him of his ex but he won't admit it. When Cooper starts to get to know the real Ali they develop the beginnings of a flirtation.
Half way into the book their budding romance takes a turn for the not so good. Cooper says his ex's name while drunk and passionately kissing Ali which hurts her and makes her run into the arms of his band mate Levi. I really loved Levi actually loved him more than Cooper but NOT for Ali. From here on the three become a threesome which Levi seems to be all for, Ali is conflicted about it and Cooper hates the relationship but does it because he loves Ali and thinks that's what she wants.
There is a ton of miscommunication between the threesome which leads to lots of hurt feelings and some spitefulness. There is lots of steamy menage sex which was very erotic and well written as I would expect from Carmen Jenner. In the end there is an HEA for two of them but one is left out I won't say which one. I loved the story just certain aspects of the direction I wasn't crazy about. I am looking forward to the next book and can't wait to read more about the other characters I am truly intrigued by where the author will go with their stories.
Ali is forced into a personal assistant job with the band Taint, she is less than thrilled. She is way down on her luck and needs a job. So even though she isn’t thrilled she is going on tour with the band.
Cooper is the lead singer and has a broken heart from a relationship gone bad. This book is delicious!! Ali gets caught between two band members, in more ways then one! Yes “Sigh” you read that correctly. Lol yep!!
So you can see that angst is coming!! This book is a great rock star book with all the romance and wild stuff that goes with it.
If you have read this author before you know how she can do the smexy. She will have you laughing out loud and crying in your drink of choice!

I was completely shocked because Ali just didn't seem the type of girl at the start of book to ever have a threesome. She was a character that had been dealt a bad hand. She lost her gran, boyfriend and job and getting her new job was so important to her. So finding out that the boys of newly named Taint, especially Cooper, wanted her as the bands PA she wasn't happy. She stayed strong though and put up with all the bands hilarious pranks, the band members continuously trying to get in her knickers, and the massive sexual tension between her and Cooper with great Witt and determination.
All of a sudden the sweet, kind girl got caught up in the sexual tension, game playing and it all changed her. It didn't stop the main person n her mind keeping her up alnight though, Cooper.
Cooper was a very complicated and complex character. He'd lost his ex and child and he's still feeling that loss hugely. My heart went out to him. He obviously had a instant connect to Ali when he first saw her and that's why he did all he could to get her to be the bands PA and have her with him. Cooper was trying to get all his band mates to stay away from her at all costs, but after a huge mess up, he couldn't do that. He was jealous and hated being that way.
The thing I loved most about the book was Cooper. He wasn't your typical overly cocky rockstar, mostly he was just a guy wanting a normal life. He was so lost, sad, sweet and extremely sensitive. My heart went out to him, especially as Ali was the only person who could calm him down and then the story changed, Ali changed and all of a sudden Cooper was fighting for the love of his life again, but this time from a dear friend and band member.
I loved Copper and although I was shocked by the twist in the book, I shouldn't of expected anything less from this amazing author. She always throws in a huge twist and shakes things up one way or another, that's why I love her books.
I loved this book for so many reasons, but mostly I loved that it wasn't a predictable rockstar book/character, it was so funny throughout, the banter and Witt was great, I loved the hot sexual tension and sex scenes, the game playing between Cooper and Ali and that Cooper was a lost soul who I just wanted to cuddle and take his pain away.
This was another compelling book by the author.

Never read this author before.
I really liked Cooper, however, I've got to agree with another reviewer and say that I really didn't like Ali and I struggled to empathise with her. I initially felt sorry about her situation but then, as the story unfolded, she got herself into a God-awful mess with Cooper and Levi – she made her bed and had to lie in it – no truer words!! At first, she came across as ballsy and tough, but when it came down to brass tacks, she was weak, naïve, and really needed to get a clue. She really wanted to have her cake and eat it…and, in the end, probably bit off more than she could chew! I almost feel that she didn’t deserve Coop. He might have been bossy and manipulative, but his heart was in the right place. He might have desired her and wanted her to be with him, but he was also looking out for her and keeping her off the streets. He was carrying a past hurt and trying to move on, and Ali was the one to heal him.
The band were real blokes and lads-about-town. Deb was a tough cookie but there was something honest about her. Zed might be a druggie but he was a massive softie. I hope something is brewing between them.
I’d like to read the other books in this series. Even though I disliked the heroine in this story, it was well-written and laugh-out-loud in places. For an author to evoke strong feelings in a reader, whether they are positive or negative….well, that’s a good thing in my book!
rules even those that include their new PA Ali. This book is so hot I was worried my kindle would burn up !!!
There's a mix of hot rockers - Cooper and Levi are so bad and so hot ! A woman who has her sexual horizons widen - Ali. Some real proper laugh out loud moments that had me crying with laughter, I'll say two words - circle jerk !
And some tender moments that had my heart torn in two. This is my first Carmen Jenner book but I know for a fact it won't be my last !
The story follows Ali who finds herself thrown in the deep end with a rock band full of hot guys that play hard and rock harder. The scorching hot sex scenes coupled with the great characters certainly made for a page turning read.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
