small form factor
7 ear tips
excellent sound quality
cord is not tangle free
sound can be occasionally bright and sibilant
no foam ear tips
These are awesome earbuds. The sound is very smooth, detailed and has good separation. The bass is not muddy but very balanced and go deep and strong when called upon. The highs are clear but can be occasionally bright or sibilant. The mids are somewhat recessed but still present. I love the sound presented, blow my AKG quadbeats out of the water. The design is awesome and the small size is very comfortable in the ear. I highly recommend. Thank you RHA for a great product at a great price.
Build- These are made of metal and feel very durable. They are small but built like a tank. Personally these lasted about 3 months, which wasn't long enough in my opinion, for a pair of $50 earphones I would expect at least 8 months.
Comfort- These we're very comfortable in my opinion. RHA provides an assortment of tips. With 2 small pairs, 2 medium pairs, 2 large pairs, and a single pair of double flange ear tips. I personally enjoyed the double flange as the gave me a good seal and were very soft. Note: The single flange ear tips are a pain in the butt to put back on :(
Conclusion- All in all these are a solid pair of earphones, sound quality for $50 is a lot better than some earphones in the $100 dollar range. They were very comfortable, but didn't last very long at a pretty crappy 3 months, I am going through the process of warranty as they do have a 3 year warranty. So far RHA support has been good and I hope I can get these fixed or at least get a replacement pair. I will let y'all know how the warranty goes when that is done.
metal construction *seems* durable, and probably is
the actual earbuds themselves seemed to be very well constructed.
Cons: weird fit, the sharp metal edge occasionally dug into my ear
lots of harshness to the sound, the highs were very bright to me and not exceptionally clear.
mic is low quality
the connector looks like it's really durable, but the rubber sleeve around the connection to the jack itself is a stress point. Right channel worked intermittently for a week until it entirely gave out. Seems like these would be very durable headphones if I had the foresight to put heatshrink tubing or duct tape around the flex point where the wire leaves the connector.
I know i'm rough on headphones, but I usually get about 6 months of daily use out of a set, even some of the cheap sub $15 pairs.
