I also tried stamping one, just to see how that went, and it was fine. These have no holes in them but my various metal hole punches have been working fine. These are half hard and 0.032 inches thick, which is 20 gauge, so they are not appropriate for going through an embossing machine like a Sizzix BigKick or similar (too thick, too hard -- you need soft metal for that, and probably 28 gauge or thinner). But I just planned them for texturing, alcohol ink painting, stamping, and cold connections, and they have been great for what I have tried so far.
These do come with a protective plastic coating that you will need to peel off. I like that it is there to protect the blanks until you are ready to use them; none of mine were damaged on the way to me.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc so these could cause a reaction in copper-sensitive people. Use a clear coating product on any parts that will be directly next to or touching the skin.
