Combine Devices for More Power
ROCCAT Talk lets your compatible ROCCAT gaming devices join forces for amazing Set Bonus advantages that let you play faster, win more and enjoy a more intense game.
The ROCCAT Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard, the Kone XTD and the Kone Pure are the world's first devices to be connected with the ROCCAT Talk protocol.
For example, ROCCAT Talk lets you take advantage of exclusive Easy-Shift[+] technology. Now you can use the Easy-Shift[+] key on your Isku to activate macros for both the keyboard and mouse. It's a one-stop short-cut that makes giving orders quicker and easier.
ROCCAT Talk also lets you use ROCCAT's exclusive Easy-Aim technology when playing with the Isku and the Kone XTD or Kone Pure. When you need precise marksmanship in sniper mode, just press and hold a single Isku key and Easy-Aim will instantly optimize the DPI setting on your Kone XTD or Kone Pure. This two-handed team marksmanship is the most convenient way ever to be the deadliest sniper in the game.
Hunt Your Prey Instead of Hunting for Keys
The Isku is the only keyboard in the world to feature the groundbreaking Easy-Shift[+] technology, which offers 36 easily-customizable macros strategically positioned in three spots in the easy-to-find WASD zone. This means you can fire off orders without ever having to re-adjust your hand position, so you won’t have to take your eyes off the screen to look for keys.
Because the Easy-Shift[+] key works just like the standard shift key, activating your macros is as simple as typing an uppercase letter.
The Easy-Shift[+] zone gives you an impressive 28 macros keys – including eight dedicated keys that can be doubly programmed. Plus, the ability to instantly switch between five profiles lets you enjoy up to 180 macros.
Get Your Thumbs Into the Fight
Are all your digits in? Now you can give your thumbs something useful to do instead of just hovering over the spacebar. Our ROCCAT scientists put three individually-programmable Thumbster macro keys right below the Isku’s spacebar -- each easily activated with a quick thumb strike. Perfect for casting a lightning-quick healing spell in the middle of a tough fight. Brilliant for a rapid weapon change. Think of your thumbs as two new eager allies. Thumbs up to that.
Record Macros Mid-Action
New enhanced Macro Live! technology makes in-game macro recording easy. Simply hit the dedicated Macro Live! Recording button and let the Sound Feedback tool talk you through the quick and easy recording process, step by step. You can program up to 500 actions for each of the 180 macros, giving you the freedom to lay down any orders you can dream up. And you won’t have to leave your game to do it.
Record Macros at Your Leisure
If recording macros using a menu-based system is more your style, the Macro Manager software is just what you want. The award-winning Macro Manager lets you record and fine-tune your macros with incredible precision and intuitive ease thanks to a simple-to-use interface. The Loop Function even lets you repeat your settings up to 255 times. The program also comes with presets for top games and office apps so you can enjoy your favorites with no wait.
Jump Into the Fray Right Away
Save your favorite settings such as button configurations, lighting level, DPI preference, and more in five profile slots. Activate each instantaneously with the simple press of a button so you can game your way with speed and ease. You’ll always know which profile you’ve chosen thanks to five bright LED profile indicators. And with the Sound Feedback tool, the ROCCAT Voice will even tell you which profile you’ve selected. You can even set a profile for Windows which the Isku will automatically switch back to when you’ve finished gaming.
Thanks to its off-white UV-coated keys and its extreme ice blue backlighting in 6 adjustable brightness levels, the Isku makes it easy to always hit the right key -- even in low lighting. The Isku’s optimized illumination also means it’s perfect for avoiding eye strain during those long gaming sessions. Plus, you can program the Isku to automatically switch its lights off if you haven’t hit a key for a length of time of your choosing – great for when you want to take a break from your game. And did we mention Isku’s keyboard illumination simply looks awesome?
Pamper Your Wrists
The Isku’s Integrated Extra-Large Granular Wrist Rest acts like a sofa for your hands, providing perfect stability and comfort so you can avoid wrist fatigue even when gaming into the wee hours. Its advanced granular surface also enables fast, yet controlled, lateral movement for optimized play even during the most hectic battles.
Isku Stays Put
Flip the Isku over (don’t worry, it won’t bite) and you’ll find 5 rubberized Non-Slip Gaming Boots and 2 rubberized Lock-Fast Gaming Feet. This means the Isku stays put -- even during the most intense play session. The retractable gaming feet also position the Isku at the ideal gaming angle of 5.90 degrees – ensuring the quickest key activation and best typing comfort possible.
Ultra-Fast Keyboard Response
The Isku boasts medium height keys with fully-optimized key architecture, giving you a perfect striking surface and ideal keystroke response for finger action that feels right every time. The 1000Hz polling rate also ensures ultra-fast keyboard response with no lag, so your commands are carried out instantaneously. Advanced anti-ghosting technology means multiple keys can be depressed simultaneously, making sure you can take full advantage of every complex command at your disposal.
Cable Channels Keep Things Tidy
Your headset and mouse cables can now easily be tidied away using the handy cable channels under the Isku. And no cable mess means less to get in the way of you enjoying your game.
Audible Countdown Timer
The Isku comes standard with the ROCCAT Timer, which gives you a handy audible countdown timer for any event you wish. Among other uses, you’ll always know exactly how long it’ll be before something re-spawns on the battlefield – valuable info you can exploit for a tactical advantage.
Control Your Media the Easy Way
The Isku features a row of eight fully-configurable media keys--optimally positioned at the top of the keyboard--for quick and easy access to 25 handy functions of your choice. It also features 12 programmable F keys, giving you a full range of customization options.

The keyboard is surprisingly lightweight compared to my U7 Luxeed Keyboard (which doesn't have any macro keys or numpad for that matter. The keys press down nicely and are not too far apart and not too close together. It feels very nice typing on it and doesn't bother me while I'm playing games for hours a day. I haven't gotten much use out of the macro keys, but they are easy to set up, and when you press the macro record button, instead of a beep or noise, it actually says "Select a macro key to start recording" and when you cancel the macro recording, it says "Macro recording aborted." It says it through your operating system (ie. your speakers or headphones) not the keyboard itself. That is better than having some beep and then trying to figure out which beep is which.
One thing to note about this keyboard is that the boarder is flat black with a textile feel and the part around the keys is a glossy black. I knew this before purchasing, and I admit it makes the keyboard look very well and stand out, but it does get very dirty with fingerprints and dust very quickly.
Also, in order for the capslock key to work, you have to press and hold the T1 key then press the capslock key. Without pressing the T1 key, it functions as a macro key. To some, this my be convenient or inconvenient depending on your style of play.
EDIT: The above mentioned is enabled by default.Read more ›
I use this keyboard for gaming/work and it definitely does not disappoint me.
Been using it for about 5 months, absolutely no wear/tear or signs of fading!
The software/drivers are EXCELLENT and have tons and tons of features such as dimming the LED's when you're not using them so they last longer!
Only con is, the very small 'cracks' get very dirty but can be easily cleaned out with a thin object such as a credit card (they aren't hard to clean at all, takes <30 seconds!)
other than that, best keyboard ever.
The only thing that could make this keyboard better would be to have Cherry MX switches. It is a membrane keyboard but I assure you it is not one of those sticky keys kind of membrane keyboard. Roccat does have the Ryos model keyboard with the MX switches but they are not able to create all the colors that the Isku can.
In regards to their warranties and Roccat as a company. My Kone XTD mouse started having issues after about a year and a half. It was double clicking when I clicked it once, I contacted Roccat through their website and within one day I had a response. Their customer service rep didn't even care when I had purchased it. His response was something like this, "I'm sorry to hear about the issues with you Kone, please provide use with your info and we will send you a brand new one." I sent them in my old one, spend $3 on shipping and got a brand new one within about a week. The customer service rep assigned to my claim kept me up to date every time we reached a new step in the process. Roccat's quality of their products and the quality of the Customer Service has made me an advocate for life.Read more ›
The Bad: Not many fancy proprietary hardware pieces, not very useful if you aren’t a macro person
Gaming keyboards are just as important as mice; the buttons are probably the most important thing of all, the gimmicks and extra stuff comes last. Second most important thing in a gaming keyboard is ergonomics and how it’s designed physically. Some keyboards have large desktop footprints with giant wristpads or strange key shapes and proprietary key layouts. I spend over a week shopping around for the right keyboard to replace my Alienware TactX keyboard. Not that it broke or I hated it, I absolutely love the TactX keyboard, I just wanted something new and different. First on my list was the key type. Did I want Cherry MX keys or membrane? The TactX keyboard is an excellent Cherry MX keyboard, but it’s very loud and “clacky” and the key height is very high. I loved how far apart each key was, but I was ready for something new.
The Havit Leggermeier was my first choice
Havit Lammergeier: My first choice but only available online
Logitech G710: A solid Cherry MX keyboard, but I didn’t like the design of the buttons
The Logitech G910 is a beast of a keyboard, but I still didn't quite like the design.
Logitech G910: A beast of a keyboard, but I still didn’t quite like the design.
My first pick was the Havit Lammergeier which had a wonderul design and Cherry MX keys, but it’s only available online. Remember, any decent gaming keyboard is going to start at around the $100.Read more ›
