Rawlings has made batting practice balls affordable for parents and coaches a like. As you well may know if you want to save money on baseballs in bulk, you must purchase synthetic covered baseballs. These leather covered balls are great for batting practice or a game of catch, and unlike the less expensive synthetic cover counter balls, these balls, which have slight blems, will last 10 times longer, and are as close to game balls as you are going to get with out spending an arm and a leg.

The bucket of balls arrived very fast and in great shape. The balls were of good quality and averaged out to a little over $2/ea. A good quality product for a great price!

Baseballs cost more than any of us would like, right? But having a few dozen balls makes it a lot more fun to play, even if I'm just out with my kids.

After buying Rawlings synthetic balls, the (excellent) MaGregor 79 leather balls, and a few others, THESE are the pick of the litter.

The leather is just right, and has worn well. Synthetic balls wear really nasty.

There were a couple balls in my bucket that had little spots of raised leather that were enough to notice. I looked at a brand new bucket of leather Rawlings balls today and almost all of the balls were this way -- and they weren't sold as blemished.

The bucket is nice enough. If you can get the balls cheaper without the bucket I'd do that, but it's nice to have.

There were so many different options for practice baseballs I was concerned I'd get something that was not good. These baseballs are perfect. My son is 13 and these are similar to the one's he used on his high school team. All of them were in very good condition (individually wrapped) when they arrived. I use most of them for hitting, but I set aside 5 or so to practice his pitching with non scuffed balls. This is a good set if you are looking for a baseball similar to what is used in leagues for 12 years old through high school.

I purchased these balls to be used for gifts for the Little league baseball team. Each boy signs each ball and everyone gets one with all the kids' names on it. I wanted to get good quality balls to represent a quality team. These balls are noticeably blemished with scuff marks, dents, and enlarged holes in the stitching. In regards to using them for practice, I haven't done that yet with the extras as I have a few. The scuff marks would not be an issue but a few of the balls have dents that will certainly effect play. Before the season I purchased the Wilson A1030 3-Dozen Bucket of Baseballs on sale on Amazon for $105. MUCH better set of balls with most of them unnoticeably blemished and no dents. Even though they are currently about $30 more it is worth the extra cost.

I bought this for throwing baseballs to my 8 year old boy in the backyard and at the park. The balls are leather, so they will last a long time. I have tried the cheaper balls and the synthetic cover just fails and comes off after a summer of use. I would stay away from the cheap synthetic wrapped balls, and stick with these real leather ones....I used them all summer long and the balls are wearing as expected. Of course a few have been left outside and some we found in the shrubs when we trimmed this fall, and they are still in great shape. Some have been skipped on the pavement and on the road when playing catch...and they are still holding up great! The price was right, after searching Google for a better price, I came back to Amazon as always...I would highly recommend these!

I've purchased these balls for the last 4 years now. They're a great value because you're getting a leather covered Rawlings ball that looks and feels like a game ball. They are my Son's favorite.

The leather feels great, the seams are good and the balls hit and throw just great. You don't have any of the issues that synthetic balls have.

As far as blems or issues, the balls may have minor blems that are for the most part, cosmetic. Most of the time I don't see any problems. In my last bucket, I saw one ball that had a small scuff. The rest of the balls looked fine. Maybe the seams did not meet Rawling's standards or something to that affect.

I have to give these balls 5 stars because for the money, you're getting a great deal.

This is my first time purchasing leather baseballs. I bought my first order/batch at 110.99, and they are in great shape. I took a look at some and I couldn't find any obvious defects. They feel good but I haven't used them yet. I visited this item again a few days later and it was listed for 107.99, so I bought another batch. This second batch was obvious defects. Not really white, light marks, and leather by the seams were fraying, but still good for practice balls. I guess I would of expected this second batch as blems, vs. my first. But I feel confident they will hit and wear the same, but we'll see. Still the best deal I could find.
