Good simulation, as a pilot IRL, it has authentic controls and reactions for the most part. One tip for the Carrier is to "perform the break" by flying over the middle of the Carrier at 1000 to 1800 feet to discern which end the wires are on..then peel around out to about a mile behind with the engines "spooled up" to 70% power or therebouts, controlling speed with the air brakes and land with enough power to "go around" if needed. Have fun! StrangeMagic

I enjoy airplane simulation games, and this one is cool. i thought $1.99 really? but it was worth it. i enjoy it. there are 3 different aircraft. u can land it on a land strip, or a navy ship thing. u can controll it realistically. the crashing graphics suck, but the control of the plane is nice and easy, just go to settings and put SIMULATOR not NORMAL. if u are an aviation fanatic, NOT a person who wants to do dog fights in this game, its simple, landing and flying, it has different options as well.

This sim is about the best flight sim I've seen for Android.
I downloaded it as FAOTD but then kept it in the cloud because I also downloaded something huge.
Now I tested it and cannot confirm it's upside down on my Kindle fire.
Also, I don't understand the complaints about hard controls - there are tutorials and the controls are easy : thrust is the lever on your left ; on the lower right are landing gear, flaps and brakes - if you want to stop when you land use those brakes and have the landing gear down, please.
The one problem I noticed is that it sometimes does freeze, especially when using the turboprop planes.
It still gets five stars for being a flight simulator that feels authentic.
If you think it's too sluggish just adjust control sensitivity and see how fast this baby reacts.

This is a fun, challenging game that provides multiple variations (3 different aircraft and various runway types) to keep you engaged. The only down-side to this game is the user interface on my Kindle Fire HD. It could be a software glitch with either the Kindle or the game, but I often have issues with the game orientation being upside down. The other interface issue is the location of the flaps control when trying to land. With the Kindle Fire HD there's a pull menu on the right side of the screen which interferes with the control for the flaps. The software engineers for this game should consider moving the controls so they play well with all tablets.

its not that hard once you have gotten the feel of the controls. do you really need to ask how to land.
its got to be gentle and the tell you the landing speed too! both for the air base and carrier.
its an absolutely great flight simulator

I'm not the biggest fan of motion games, and this wasn't an exception. I must admit, I thought the graphics were quite awesome. And I liked how challenging it was to land a plane on an aircraft carrier. But this type of game turned out to not be for me. So if you are like me and hate using your accelerometer to play your android games then avoid this. If you don't mind, and you like basic flight sims, then this should be worth two dollars to you.

This is a really fun app, with beautiful scenery as well. And it works perfectly on the Kindle Fire HD 7". At the home screen go to Options to enter your pilot name, calibrate your controls and establish your settings for the game. From the Home screen you can choose which plane to fly. Then, from the Play button you'll get access to the Tutorials. And you'll also get to choose which kind of flight you want to make: If you choose "Free Flight" you can choose easier tasks like field takeoff, and carrier takeoff. Otherwise, you'll begin with Landings -- which can be pretty tough. The Tutorials will show you how to toggle between an external view of your plane, the cockpit view, or the HUD view, and other helpful topics. Radar will guide you to your target. ***It's a very satisfying flight experience and the controls can be quickly learned. Taking off is really easy -- but landing...well, that's going to take some practice. But FIVE STARS for this!!

fun Sim. One of the better faotd's I've played. Takes some practice, but the controls are accurate. Graphics are surprisingly good and sound effects are also good. This one will not be banished to the cloud.
