Royal Canin Pug Adult Dog Food features a kibble exclusively designed to make it easier for the Pug to pick up and also encourages him to chew. The Pug is a good example of the ''brachycephalic'' jaw type with a very short muzzle. The skin reflects the dog's state of health. Appropriate food plays an important part in maintaining the quality of the skin. The exclusive formula of Pug Adult helps support the skin's role as a barrier with an exclusive complex of nutrients and helps maintain skin health (EPA and DHA). This formula helps maintain the Pug's muscle tone with an appropriate protein content. Contains L-Carnitine. Excess weight gain can affect the health of the Pug. An appropriately balanced food is therefore necessary for their health. The formula helps maintain the Pug's ideal weight. 100% complete and balanced nutrition. This food is great. My pug had become a bit of a picky eater, so I switched to Royal Canin Pug food. Now, I never have a problem getting him to eat. He has also lost a few pounds since starting on Royal Canin Pug. All pug owners know that this is a major plus, as it is hard to keep these guys slim.

My pug Lola has been fed with Royal Canin Pug Dry Food since she became adult. She is 3 years old now and so far so good. Awesome product, trustful brand. Our vet told us this is the best food for pugs. No allergies and no digestive problems. I highly recommend.

I have one five year old, female, fawn pug that has been on this food since she was 12 months old. When she was a puppy she would only eat Science Diet soft and hard food. Once I switched her to the adult version she started to get sick and was vomiting and not eating anything. I took her into the vet and found out that she's allergic to a whole list of items like beef and oatmeal, to name a few. My vet recommended Royal Canin and she gobbled it up. It's filling enough to keep her satisfied as she grazes through the day and she's never hungry at the end of the night. She is also a perfect weight. She ranges from 21 lbs in the summer to 25 lbs in the winter.

I, recently, also rescued a little four year old, female, fawn pug who had been abused her whole life. When I adopted her she had a golf ball sized stone in her bladder from lack of care and abuse from the previous owners. Along with that being beaten and kicked most of her life, the stone was so large she couldn't control her bladder. The stone started as a UTI (the vet suspects) but got worse and worse due to her bad diet from the previous owners. When I adopted her she was only 13 lbs and barely an animal to be honest. Since I've had her she's gained a healthy weight gradually (she's finally up to 17 lbs-she was a runt) and she does the same thing my five year old pug does; gobbles it up! She is so satisfied at the end of the night and not begging for more food.

This dog food has literally saved my dogs lives and I'm so happy that we found Royal Canin.

This brand of dog food keeps our Puggle shiny and healthy. She loves it. The pieces are just right for a flat faced furry friend. We also use this brand of dog food for another dog breed. Royal Canin is great. I love being able to have it delivered.

My dogs seems to like this a lots and they fur seems to be softer after starting on this diet. My vet told me this is one of the best brands. It's also hard to get at local store, sometimes they need to do special order. So I have been buying it from Amazon.

My Pug has severe allergies, which I hear is quite common for this breed. He was in terrible condition a year ago, he was 10 pounds overweight and constantly had terrible skin problems, itchy bumps and dark spots all over. I learned from my vet that this was not simply the result of a flea allergy, but also a food allergy. Initially I put him on a specially formulated hypoallergenic dog food from Royal Canin's Veterinary formula line. This was very expensive, but well worth it, because my pug's skin cleared up completely in just a few months and he is no longer suffering from constant skin irritations. The reason I am reviewing THIS product instead of the hypoallergenic food is because those veterinary specialized diets are designed to be used temporarily, only for specific ailments and cannot be bought without a prescription. When your Pug returns to a healthy state, this standard Pug formula is all you need for everyday feeding! Royal Canin has highly effective formulations for just about any pet ailment, just ask your vet! And their breed specific formulas are second to none for healthy everyday maintenance of your unique pet.

We have two dogs, an Olde English bulldogge and a friendly little pug. Both dogs are on Royal Canin (pug food for the pug, bulldog food for the bulldogge). We had been on Blue Buffalo prior to this which both the dogs loved. Our vet asked us why we chose that brand. "Well, the brand seemed like it would be the best choice and natural and yadda yadda". She replied "Yes, they do have a good marketing campaign, however I have a major problem with how they make their food". She went on to say that Blue Buffalo sources different kibbles and bits from different manufacturers, there are too many cooks in the kitchen and too much room for problems. She recommended switching over to Royal Canin (she didn't have any skin in the game since we don't buy from her nor does she sell food). So we did. Now, the dogs coats are shiny, their poops are solid and compact, and they seem happy.

I will honestly say that I don't think the pug cares for the taste all that much. In other words, sometimes he'll just not eat until he's really hungry. He'll just leave the food in the bowl like a cat would and eat when the mood strikes him.

Based on our vet's recommendation, the fact we've had them on the brand for over a year with no health problems or allergies, and the fact that the poops are solid and small, we're staying with Royal Canin.
