Most products like this I tend to go with the less expensive versions because I simply do not use them frequently (ex: funnels, Wok tools, giant-sized spatula, etc...stuff like that.) However, this is something I knew I would use a lot for tea and when I make various sauces and soups, and so I wanted one that was durable, had an all-metal design given it would frequently see high-heat, and had a well-made handle. The RSVP fit the bill.
This is really well-made. The mesh strainer is strongly bonded to the handle, the handle is comfortable, and the unit is made entirely from steel (which is great for high-temp usage.) I have used mine extensively and it is as sturdy today as it was over a year ago. While the listing here notes that this should be hand-washed, I do put this in the dishwasher since it's not crazy-expensive...I just make sure to put it on the top rack and dry it by hand immediately after the dishwasher finishes the cycle, and thus far it has held up perfectly well.
So if you need a good (smaller) strainer, the RSVP is a great product to choose.
