KEEPS DRINKS "ICE COLD" IN THE HOT FLORIDA SUN!

My wife bought me this RTIC Cooler for my birthday and I've been quite happy with it after a month of use. Living only 15 minutes from one of the top beaches in the world (Siesta Key Beach), we enjoy the surf and sand as much as possible. However, until I started using the RTIC cooler, we really didn't have a cooler that kept our drinks "ice cold" for very long in the hot Florida sun. This cooler has been great! In fact, after 3 visits to the beach (at least 4 hours each time), I'm still using the same bag of ice! After each trip, I just put the ice bag back in my freezer (less whatever ice may have been used for some of our mixed drinks). Some people have complained about the zipper being tough to use, but I've had no problems since I've used the provided silicone grease tube to keep the zipper lubed. The carry strap makes it easy to carry the cooler the long distance from the parking lot to the shore. The pockets on the front and back of the cooler are convenient to keep a bottle opener, too.

Good Product at a Good Price

I have tried lots of different small size coolers over the years. I have a Yeti Tundra and a Hopper but could not bring myself to spend the money on their small size flip top. This RTIC 20 cooler is the perfect size flip top for a day trip to hold some drinks and a lunch, plus it is less than half the price of a Yeti flip top. The RTIC 20 zipper was a little difficult and the inside smelled so I had to clean it and then air it out for two days. The first use of my RTIC 20 cooler was a test with a bunch of blue ice packs (10 pounds total) covered with six pounds of regular ice. After 20 hours unopened in my garage the regular ice melted to 50/50 water to ice ratio. The Rubbermaid brand blue ice packs were still frozen and the generic ones had thawed out. The plastic interior liner has a seam around the bottom that did not leak but I do not know if it will hold together over the years. At $99 for the RTIC 20 cooler I like it.

I got some Amazon gift cards for gifts and waited for a RTIC sale. This little item went on sale and I jumped on it like a buzzard on a gut truck! The plan is to use it to hold food when I go surf fishing.

It was the 1st time I bought one of those 'premium' coolers, so you can imagine it was a little difficult to justify spending that much. Let me tell you how it worked out. We packed it with some frozen water bottles (6) and went to the grocery store. We bought several items that were cooled/frozen. We packed them tight in the cooler and went on our way, leaving the cooler in the car.

Literally hours later (more than 6) we returned home and unpacked the cooler. You would've thought we just pulled them out of the freezer from the store. The frozen items were still completely frozen and the cooled items were (I think) a little cooler than when we put them in (because of the frozen items). Overall, the cooler works great and I can't wait to take it fishing!

The only drawback so far is the front pocket seems a bit useless. Unless you are putting folded paper or something in it. I guess it isn't much of a drawback, just something not as useful as hoped.

I mainly wanted a smaller cooler to keep in my car so I can put my lunch and drinks in to keep cool during summer. I like the size and weight, but it won't be holding ice for 5 days as claimed.

Ice didn't even last a full 48 hours before it was all melted in about 80° weather. Also once the ice melts, the water will seep into the insulation.

Has the potential to be a great soft cooler, but quality control and design needs to be improved. I've requested a refund so I can look for a different cooler.

I make sure everything is cold prior to putting it in
I also freeze water in large gateraid bottles
To help extend the ice along with water with ice
I have never got 5 days out of my ice

I’m a plumber and do service work and so bringing my lunch a lot is important because you never know what I’ll be doing or where I’ll end up! The cab of my truck gets extremely hot in the peak of summer and even with the windows cracked my old lunch box would undoubtedly overheat. You could say goodbye to that ice cold bottle of water in the cooler after spending hours under a sink or jack hammering a basement floor. It was an investment, but my lunches and beverages stay much, much cooler now than before. The cooler keeps drinks cold for two days with an appropriate amount of ice packs even in the heat of the cab of the truck parked in the blistering sun. It is massive and so it takes up more space than ideal, but it’s just me in the truck usually so that’s no concern of mine. Rugged and tough to boot! Highly recommended!

Bought this for my wife as she loves a soft sided cooler. This has worked great and keeps things cold for a long time. Not put through the wringer yet but it seems really durable. Only problem so far is some lunch items stay too cold and don't defrost in time to be ready. Works in the Texas heat all day long. for over 12 hours.

This item is terrible. The zipper sucks to use even after you use their grease to lube it up, it only holds up to 12 cans tops with ice, and doesn't hold ice as long as stated. Not worth the money!
