Embrace nature's solution to our emerging water shortage--collect rainwater! When drought sets in and rain is short, rain barrels can provide that precious water you need for your lawn and garden. Our authentic oak barrel texture is molded into each barrel and will not fade, rot or risk insect infestation. The RTS Accents rain barrel has many unique features including a flat back to sit flush against a wall, linkable to other rain barrels for increased capacity, screen to keep out debris and insects, and a shut off valve for hose hook up with dual overflow. This rain barrel can provide up to 50 gallons of pure unchlorinated water. During heavy rain falls, a typical roof can produce hundreds of gallons of water and by saving that water, you can reduce your average water usage. With those kinds of savings, this rain barrel can pay for itself in just a few seasons. A front side overflow keeps water from flooding against your outside wall. It is recommended that you drain your barrels when temperatures approach the freezing point. Optional barrel stands create a larger offset between the spigot and the ground, making it easier to fill watering cans and for general use. Wood grain.

OK - so why only two stars? Price vs. Quality! We paid just over $110 at time of this review. I would not expect the spigot to be a nightmare. You basically have ONE SHOT at getting that thing screwed directly into the barrel (brass vs. plastic).
The hole drilled into the bottom for the spigot was not a clean bore. It sort of ramps upwards just inside a bit. The threads were cut very poorly. One may certainly know the IMPORTANCE of preventing "cross-threading" but when the threads of the hole are so messed up there is not but one way to get the spigot in -a hammer right? Of course not, so we tried 8 times to get the spigot in straight. An earlier close thread examination of the barrel with a flashlight gives the impression the threads may have been cut twice (and misaligned). Therefore, while the manufacturing process leaves it up to the purchaser to attach the spigot - you can rest assured you may need a very strong arm, a steady hand, tons of patience and maybe an after-sealant if the unit leaks.
We will test after the 1st rain but hopes are not very high of the unit not leaking around the spigot. It simply isn't straight and the condition of the hole/threads upon receipt of the unit at unpacking was far beyond unsatisfactory in our opinion. This is the reason for two stars. For $100 plus dollars I would not expect this much trouble with something so simple as a spigot.
The spigot quality itself does not feel great either. Difficult to open and close and I don't mean 'tight' as in 'new' and not broke-in but I mean it is also not smooth in operation. It turns a bit then stops and you have to use some force to turn it further then it moves easily again for a few millimeters and jams again.
Not sure if we will purchase the 2nd one (as originally planned) -- if so, at least we know what we are getting and what we are in for and the only reason to buy again is to have a matching set. We are researching other options though.
Pictures? If I wasn't worried about the "spigot" never getting back in there to at least the point it is - I would take some to reinforce my comments. But seriously - we were not impressed in this area.
Summary: Looks good, should work OK, spigot-quality is not included as a feature.
